^^^This + bring healthy snacks, stay at a hotel w/a gym (or find a gym close by) and don't miss a workout. I travel for work conferences 6+ times per year, so I can empathize with your plight!

More cardio is probably the last thing you need. Start a structured lifting program, start/keep weighing your food, log it all, and you will be set.
-
This is great - now if the VA could just hire enough physicians and other health care providers to plow through the huge backlog of veterans needing medical care, that would be even BETTER!
-
You are doing WAY more cardio than strength training so you very likely have NOT gained 3+lbs of muscle in 3 weeks. If only it were that easy....

Me too!

OP, I am the same as you - ALWAYS cold. I keep a fleece jacket at my office and wear it nearly every single day during the Summer when the a/c is blaring. I also have Raynault's Syndrome (what you referred to your husband having), although it doesn't bother me unless it is cool and damp (like today). I have had my…

IMHO, Yasso's will give you a better idea of what you CANNOT do versus what you can do. If this is your second marathon, barring any unforseen circumstances (i.e. poor weather, hydration/nutrition issues) you will very likely improve on your first marathon finish time. I guess I am not really answering your question, but…

I always feel sort of in the dumps after getting back from vacation. It has nothing to do with my food, I just enjoy vacation and hate going back to work (and I love my job!).

Protein powder and blueberries. Yum!
-
Way to go!!!!!
-
Good luck! You will do great!
-
No.

Multi level marketing - waste of money. What do you do after the 24hrs?
-
The bolded part of the post - Nope, doesn't work that way.
-
NO

The hay is in the barn, so to speak. Nothing you do in the next two weeks is going to help, but doing too much CAN hurt so err on the side of caution. I know it's hard, especially when you start feeling like a sloth, but trust in the training program. I hope you have an awesome marathon experience!

Again, I think it is a matter of personal opinion. I don't think the photos posted show a ripped body and agree with Wolfsbane that it may be that her (BS's) nutrition is not on point enough to show off any muscle.

Yes!

My opinion is that she is not all that muscular. We can agree to disagree. B)

"She has a layer of fat that covers and hides a good amount of her muscles" - September 8, 2015 10:50AM ^^^Did you not post this comment?^^^

Your average does not equal everyone else's average, just like your opinion doesn't mean it's everyone else's.
-
Brittany Spears is hardly muscular - IMHO, she could benefit from a good heavy lifting program. Of course, this is all subjective and what YOU like doesn't mean that is what everyone else likes.

Are you going to drink shakes instead of eating real food for the rest of your life?
-
Are you weighing and logging everything? Are you eating back your exercise calories? If you just started working out your muscles will retain water. Also, you have lost weight and it's only been just over a week, so be patient. ETA: Like others mentioned (I forgot to include in my original response), you need to be eating…

See bold. Exercise - your muscles are likely retaining water from starting a new program. Food - WEIGH EVERYTHING. Without weighing, you are eating more than you think.

Here's an interesting read for you, which basically reinforces what you said in your post (from the American Medical Association): What's at stake in nutrition education during med school While physicians encourage patients to make healthy food choices, only 27 percent of U.S. medical schools actually offer students the…

I am glad you finally got the correct diagnosis and can still walk a lot. It is difficult when one feels searing pain with every step they take.
-
I don't think wrapping your feet knowing you are going to walk or run sounds like a very good idea. Your feet will swell and you could reduce/cut off circulation. My suggestions: ice your feet (use bags of frozen veggies), wear supportive shoes, stretch your feet before you get out of bed or have been sitting for a long…

Get a food scale and WEIGH all solids. Measuring them is not accurate - every calorie counts!

I can binge on anything (sweet or salty) - peanut butter, candy, cookies, tortilla chips, potato chips, nuts, etc. If these items are not in the house, I simply won't eat them because I am usually too tired/lazy/embarassed to go out and buy them. If they ARE around (I cannot stop my guy and his kids from eating things they…
