Not true. If you use the "Search" button just above the top of the title of this post, you will find ALL kinds of previous posts on this topic. Welcome to MFP! :)

Double Chocolate Chunk right out of the wrapper. It's like eating a cookie! B)

The bolded part of your statement is incorrect. Meal timing has nothing to do with metabolic rate. I do agree with you that eating steadily throughout the day helps to not overeat. Personally, if I don't eat every few hours I get SO hungry that I eat whatever is closest/easiest, which often is not nutritious.

A couple of things: are you weighing your food (not measuring, WEIGHING)? Are you staying at or under your calorie goal? Are you exercising and if so, did you just start? These are all factors that could be at play.
-
Weight loss isn't linear. You will quite likely not lose everytime you weigh - too many factors impact weight (i.e. water retention, female stuff). Be patient! :)
-
She said she is NOT losing...so she should probably weigh her food.
-
Start weighing your food. You are very likely eating more than you think. For example, the other day you logged: Allrecipes.com - Cottage Meatloaf, 0.0625 loaf. How'd you come up with that amount?

Whoa! Hi there.... ;) Seriously, though....GREAT JOB!

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I have not been through anything like this before, so I guess take this however you wish, but I don't think you need to have the added stress of tracking, working out, etc. on your shoulders at the moment. Take time to grieve in whatever way suits you. My guess is that between your…

"I love your saggy butt!"

I read somewhere once that a man won't care nearly as much as you do, because after all, you are NAKED. ;)

Another multi-level marketing scam to make people they think they need something other than calories in/calories out to lose weight.
-
Track your food, eat at a deficit to lose weight. You don't need shakes sold by so-called "coaches".
-
I plan to eventually try this out, although it looked pretty tough for my particular lifestyle and routine.
-
Please open your diary, otherwise I have to call BS on this one.

What are your stats? Nevermind the lack of hunger, do you not realize that what you are doing is EXTREMELY unhealthy? All the supplements in the world (which btw, are not the best way to get your necessary vitamins and minerals) would not make this healthy OR sustainable. Help us to help you.

800 calories per day for a 38 year old male?!?!? WHY? :'(

I share your guilt feelings when I don't workout and sometimes when I do! For example, on Sunday (due to a blizzard) I couldn't get to the gym so I could ONLY do 30 minutes on the stationary bike (due to a time constraint). I felt so guilty because I had missed going to the gym on Saturday due to being hungover (see my…

Enabler!!! :p

Good luck with that.... :|

My alarm is set for 4:05am so I have time to eat before I hit the gym. Usually I lift weights, but lately due to injury have been doing mainly cardio. For me, working out in the AM is such an ingrained part of my routine that I feel lost if I deviate from it. I also love having my evenings free. My advice would be to…

If I see someone at the gym that hasn't been there in awhile, I breathe a sigh of relief knowing that they are OK. Get back to it, man!

Your muscles are retaining water after starting a strength training program (you are likely not gaining much, if any, muscle yet). Weigh your food and log everything. What are your stats and how much are you trying to lose?

We ONLY use the Ghirardelli mixes, too. I guess we're both brownie batter snobs.
-
We use a box mix and just add water. It HAS to be the kind that has chocolate chunks in it. The batter is split 3 ways but I always hate myself after eating it.
-
My confessions: 1) When it comes to discipline, I am aces at getting my butt to the gym pretty much every day of the weak. But when it comes to food, I fall woefully short. I feel as though I fell off a cliff starting with the holidays. Pizza and brownie batter have become my Saturday evening staples. :'( :'( :'( 2) I…

^^^This^^^ I can completely relate to how you feel about the foods you love and about sometimes wanting to say "screw it" and just eat like there's no tomorrow. It sounds like you are being too restrictive. You CAN still have the foods you love in moderation. It will really help with those cravings and your general…

The bolded part is KEY.

Are you weighing your foods? If not, you are likely eating more than you think.

You say you're consuming anywhere from 1800-2500 calories per day, which leads me to believe that you aren't weighing/measuring your food/caloric beverages. Your Rockstar drink may be sugar free, but I bet it has calories. Weigh and log everything (even beverages) and use the calorie goal that MFP sets for you. ETA: You…
