  • I usually walk on my lunch break through the neighborhood behind my office. I don't change, I just put on my tennis shoes with my work clothes (attractive, yes, I know). I get a little over 2 miles in about 35 minutes. Lately it has been a little cooler (didn't last long, I am in Louisiana) and I was running--but I think…
  • see...I have a nice pair of Nikes. I noticed this week that the tread is almost gone. Over the last...2 weeks or so, my ankles have started bothering me after my runs, and one of my knees bothers me (just a little) during my run, and I think I am starting to get shin splints. I'm just cheap. $135 for another pair of…
  • yes, because some days I take a bite here, a bite there, I don't want to feel those are "free", so I will log either a tiny portion (say, .1 of a corn dog, depending on how big the bite was), or I will "quick add" what I think it was calorie-wise. I am all for being honest with myself, and logging as correctly as I can.…
  • Protein and Fiber are set at minimums, I see no problem with going over and putting them in the red. It is a goal I have every.single.day--eat more protein and fiber than MFP says....
  • Agreed, but will add that if he has / had feelings for her, that might be a deal breaker, it just depends. Like JulieBo, there would definitely need to be counseling involved....
  • Take pictures, and take measurements...hips, waist, upper arms, thighs, bust, etc. How are your clothes feeling? Numbers on the scale aren't what is important. When people look at you they don't see your weight tattooed onto your forehead, so why would you use that as a guide?
  • It won't let me edit... anywhoo, I am holding steady this week. Considering TOM is here, I will take a level week!
  • Running: 16.6 miles Walking: 15.2 miles Biking: 3 miles (obviously not my focus, lol) Total: 34.8 miles
  • PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not give a 2 year old popcorn!! The APA says 4! If you give her grapes, make sure they are cut in half and she is supervised when eating them. These are both MAJOR choking hazards!
  • I agree, and I also want to add to try to start offering / bribing her to try different foods, but don't stress over it. **TO ME** it isn't a battle that I would choose to pick. She will eventually try other things, you might try some of the other suggestions, like letting her help prepare, or maybe pick out a special…
  • I have 2 cotton sports bras (white and gray), and 2 synthetic (white and maroon) that are all low to medium impact. I have Under Armour, high impact, but, sometimes I slack at laundry, and double up with the lesser ones to get enough support. But, I wear them under a shirt....so, it is literally a support issue for…
  • I second (..or 3rd, or 4th, or whatever number it's up to now) Under Armor bras! Make sure they are HIGH IMPACT! BUT, I will say that if you have a good local running store, that would be a good place to start. As a previous poster suggested, maybe your bra isn't fitting properly anymore? I had to buy all new bras and…
  • I have 14 pounds to go...it has definitely been slowing down down down...
  • my loss seems cyclical. I lose pounds, then that slows down, and instead I lose inches...then I lose pounds again...then inches again. Keep up the good work, it will come!
  • Arctic Zero has 150 cals or less for the pint. I had coffee the other day, and it was really good. My BF has had chocolate mint and cookies and cream, he is a big fan! http://www.myarcticzero.com/
  • I tend to eat the same thing all week, and it changes weekly (most times) Today I had 4 slices of turkey breast with mustard on half of a 13g fiber La Tortilla Factory wrap. I ate the other half of the wrap with hummus, had half of a cucumber sliced, and a serving of Special K crackers. Pretty filling. I have been very…
  • I would break it up and do one in the morning, one later in the day. There is debate about if cardio is as effective over 30 minutes a session, that is the reasoning behind my suggestion. Have fun!
  • New "before" pics  I have never seen these 3. Your progress has been so amazing.
  • while you may consider them "healthy" carbs, they will leave you in an afternoon slump. By my calculations, you are consuming just over 100 carbs in your lunch. That is way too many for 1 meal. You should aim for about 40-45g carbs per meal.
  • Way to many carbs for me....
  • Have fun! I hope she doesn't get too strong for ya'll. I used to live in Miami (among other places)..but, I left Miami the year before Andrew (I call that luck!) I am in Louisiana now, I am crossing my fingers to get a little hurricane this year...
  • I will say that I think you are doing your body a huge disservice to ignore hunger. Your body feels hungry for a reason. I am not saying you need to eat *immediately* every time you have a little twinge, but, I do think that learning to manage your hunger and getting to know your body are very important parts of the…
  • Great Work! Keep it up!
  • My BF started off walking.
  • My boyfriend has lost almost 200 pounds. He is in my avatar with me, maybe he will respond. Good luck! :-)
  • for one, don't compare yourself to your husband! Men lose weight differently than women, and it is discouraging to try to keep up with them :( 10 pounds in a month is spectacular! Keep up the good work!
  • I don't eat pork, but that has been my way for way longer than this weight loss thing. I am an "in moderation" girl. I can / will eat whatever I want. Even onion rings with ranch dressing (though, that happens a LOT less often now!)
  • Me! 15 pounds will put me at my goal (who's date is on my birthday anyway--5 days before Halloween!)
  • Ha, I love it! Great job! you look great!
  • I have lost less than 5 pounds since the end of April.... here are 2 chapters of an article that I found infinitely comforting about my plateau... http://activepassivediet.com/files/ActivePassiveChapter1v2.pdf http://activepassivediet.com/files/ActivePassiveChapter2passivev2.pdf
