I normally just ditch the undies. However I do have some boy shorts from Champion I wear on mud runs and have never gotten a wedgie. They are moisture wicking and stay in place really well. Running, jumping, clumping, crawling.... Stay in place.

I think I huge factor is what kind of vacation you are on. I took a month long vacation in September and splurged every single meal and still lost weight since I was so very active. If you activity level isn't going to be too high then bring healthy snacks. See if the room has a mini fridge. See if you can share plates…

I use mine for tracking, music and safety. I have broken an ankle on a run and have been attacked by a dog. Both required immediate phone calls. For safetly reasons alone, I would highly suggest people run with their cell phones. That being said my phone is huge and my arms small. So thr armband option was a train wreck.…

You can also always find a video you like and then modify the moves you can't do for something low impact.
-
Way to go. I just about died training with a friend. That stuff is hard!
-
Not really. I do about 10 minutes on the bike, some dynamic stretches and then with squats and deadlifts I have do a short fast set with just the bar to warm me up.

The rising rates of obseity make me feel like we are turning into the people in Wall-E. They just lie around in hover lounges for life. Beyond that, people's personal choices and their relationship with food and their body is just that. Theirs. When it effects me, and it has effected me, I will and have say something.…

Is there any way you could get blood work done and see if you are low in anything? Typically when people say they are feeling weak on here it is because they are starving themselves, which doesn't seem tp be the issue with you. (way to go for that by the way). I'm not a doctor or have any real knowledge in this area, but I…

I just about died laughing when I read that article

I would ask his doctor if you are really concerned, but I see kids that at 5k running events all the time. If at anytime it gets too much he can also ride his bike alongside you

All great points. The only other thing I always make sure to take with me is a rape whistle. It is small, lightweight, and I take it with me everywhere when I run. Trail runs and night time times especially. Less to prevent attacters and more so as a way of making myself noticed if I fall and hurt myself.

I love my neon pink pants. I can wear them with my neon yellow shirt and feel like I belong on the 80s ski slopes.
-
This is so true for me. Love it.

Started today. I was supposed to start ages ago, but broke my ankle. So I finally begun. I am proud of myself. It was totally out of my comfort zone and I had rerack someones weights for my squats and set it up for me since I am super small, but I managed it. I got this. I can do this.

Did my first workout tonight. Whew. This is going to be fun. Feel free to add me too.

Posting just so I can follow. I lift, but its always a struggle and I get so frustrated by it. But nothing worth it ever comes easy I guess.

I'm doing that bridge program from 5k to 10 right now. So far so good
-
Love this. Thank you for sharing.

I get sick every time I eat it. So for me personally.... It's evil.

I was going to comment that before I saw this post that the only shame would be in not enjoying yourself. Way to go on finishing and I just think you have a great attitude! You should be proud of yourself.

Don't worry about speed at all. That will eventually come later as you start putting more miles in. When I did C25K I was SLOW. I could have probably walked fast than I was jogging if I really wanted to. Heck, I am still slow, but the more I run I am slowing picking up pace.
-
You have every reason to be proud of yourself. That is a huge accomplishment. I know that for a fact since I have been in your shoes. Congrats!

Try a store that is specifically for running. Try Yelp or Google for local running stores. I prefer the locally owned mom and pop stores, but both Fleet Feet and Road Runners are great. Just make sure it is a running store and not just a sporting store.

Start Monday. Feel free to add! I went to the gym with my brother today to go over some of the moves to check on my form. It helped me feel a lot more confident going into it

Camarillo. So about an hour or so north of Los Angeles proper.

This. There are so many of these posts that if you don't find what you are looking for, search and see what everyone else says

You can do it. Try it. I have never ran a mile in my entire life until C25K and the infamous week 5 day 3 where I managed to run 2 miles straight. I am still slow as a sloth, but I run and if I can do it, seriously, you can too.

You have jerks, bigots and idiots everywhere. Do you really think the internet would be any different and people would all stand around in a drum circle and tell each what special snowflakes they are? You don't have to like it, but welcome to the internet. You gotta take the bad with the good.

My boss once fired me on April Fools. Had me in tears before she finally let me in on the joke. I don't think I will ever get her back for that. lol
