If you want to track your heart rate, you need to wear the band. If you just want to track time...

Your homemade pork stir fry had no protein? Maybe add the individual components or recipe so it registers correctly.

You've just discovered "net calories." You can subtract them (formally or informally) if you want. For instance, i know my (tested) BMR is 1572, which works out to be about 1.1 cal/minute on average. If I log a workout for 60 minutes, I subtract 66 (or you can mentally do this when deciding how many exercise cals to "eat…

I did 30DS for the second time last night, but I'm going to call it "day 1" (since the last time I did it was a few weeks back as a test to see whether I *could* do it). I cursed those women the whole time, but I'm actually kinda psyched to do it again tonight. And, since I got it on Amazon Prime...I can do it from my iPad…

I remember reading an Oprah quote that said something like: If there was a magic pill or potion that would help you lose weight, don't you think I would have it--no matter what it cost?

Wow! It's fantastic that you feel great (and look great, too!)

I think it depends on whether you have a goal-oriented personality type or not. I would have a difficult time with "I'll get there eventually" thinking. I have big goals (with dates) and mini goals (and rewards) in between. I guess some might say my goals are "aggressive"--but I've seen successful people in the success…

My aunt told my brother he was "still fat" when he was greeting guests at my dad's funeral luncheon. She told me the same thing when I saw her inside. Seriously. Our father had just died. We were in mourning. And all she could talk about is how fat we were.

You know, I had THAT moment this time. I got winded chasing my 2nd grader to his bedroom (in the house), and couldn't catch my breath to read him his bedtime story. I don't ever want to feel that way again. I am committed in a way that I never have been before. I had a "do this for a little while" attitude, not a change…

Hi, I'm Kristin. I'm a single-mom-by-choice to a 7-year-old boy. I'm a researcher, and I work 50-60 hours/week. We spend a lot of our time together doing either what has to be done (laundry, groceries, gardening), visiting grandma, or keeping up with my son's activities (soccer, swimming, friends). There's been very little…

I'm ready, too. I have over 70 pounds to lose. I am a 46-year-old single mom, and I want to be around and be healthy to be with my son. I started on Saturday, and I am already feeling more alert and that I'm sleeping better. I love all the data...especially on the nutritional profile of what I'm eating. I'm in this for the…
