Finish 1.2 or 5K
There's a marathon coming up, and while I am no where near to running a marathon (or even a half), there is a 5K I could maybe do (I just started C25K a week ago, and the race is in early June), and there's also an option to run the marathon in increments in the weeks leading up to the race, and then just run the final 1.2…

Just Started on Saturday
Spent some $$ on new shoes and a bra. I did W1D1 Saturday (running in the neighborhood), and W1D2 Sunday (running at a park). A few days off to rest/recover/cross-train, and I'll be back at this. Look forward to the tips and encouragement here.

Several NSVs this week--yay me!
At my annual check-up, found out all of my blood work is perfect and within the realm of "normal." Several things were "out of whack" last year, so this is great news. iPhone/iPad apps for Strength/Weights?
I am searching and not finding what I'm looking for: an app that helps you keep track of your weights/reps/(and machine settings, when I go to the gym). Is there such a thing?

Instead of reading novels, I've been reading YOUR stories this week, and they are each so incredibly motivating. I have a "before" photo so that I can post here when I "get there." I…

Just changed my goal--I'm going ALL THE WAY
When I started here (9/29), honestly, my goal was to just be "overweight" and no longer "obese." In this month, I have got the hang of the tracking, started kicking up the activity, and have been obsessing over the success stories on MFP...and have now decided to go all the way to the top range of "healthy" BMI (which, for…

"gardening, general" calorie burn
Gardening is tough work, but when I spend 3 hours in the garden (weeding, raking leaves, bundling sticks, planting bulbs), it sure doesn't feel like I've burned 1,434 calories. Can that possibly be true? Or should I be looking for more accurate calorie burn from my activities (or, I know...get a Fitbit)?
