I am 38, mum of one 10 year old! I am in maintenance since last September but decided to see if I can lose few more pounds this month. Feel free to add me!

yes, I estimate after. Some times I just make up a number and add it, usually high to avoid this doesn't count as i am not tracking type of thinking

I learned to dislike the feeling of being overly full. Honestly if you have habit to overeat and you let yourself overeat by a lot on one sitting, for me at least, even if you manage your weight by eating less the rest of the time - you are holding on to the problem. You are holding on to what caused the weight gain in…

I would talk to his doctor and ask for referral to registered dietitian if you feel he have weight issues. Looking for diet advise for this age on internet forum isn't a good idea. You will get so much bad advise, and while adult have some ability to filter some of it - if I had concern about my son I would look for…

at least 50% of most of my meals are fresh produce. The rest I don't sweat too much, I don't eat food I don't like and I count my calories. My happy macros seem to be 50 carbs, 25 protein, 25 fat. 5% +- on carbs and protein. As I never restricted calories too much I feel I am getting enough protein Anything under 45% carbs…

In way, I lost the last 10 before and I didn't keep it as it was not sustainable weight loss. To me maintaining the weight loss is bigger goal, and I would suggest taking a maintenance break to see how you feel. At the time I felt I am done with it, but in reality last few months I found I maintain on more calories than I…

I reached what I felt was my achievable happy weight last summer, and have maintained +- 5lbs since. I am going away in 43 days and decided to give it another go to come closer to my original goal weight I am not pushing too hard, I am doing small photo diary of each of my day - picture from my walk, step count, my meals…

Often times we used weight loss, and even regain weight so we can lose it again to avoid dealing with other things. It's only when I reached my goal I thought, wow! I still have days I feel fat! I still am not as social as I want to be. I am still feeling the need for more challenging work The good thing is, if you are…

Feel free to add me. I am in maintenance, but I am trying to do a refocus on my healthy habits and maybe lose few vanity pounds pre vacation! I also share daily photo dairy of my food every day for the next 43 days (until my vacation), step count and workout of the day, and this is how i lost the weight originally so may…

Sometimes motivation comes after you do the actions that needs to be done. It's not very reliable to hope to be motivated all the time, and I learned this the hard way Don't be frustrated with your self, it really isn't a big deal if you don't make it a big deal. I hope you didn't start smoking again, but even if you did -…

I had 3 vacations since I am in maintenance. I ate similar to home and tracked 2 of them and felt great aftee. I didn't track or put much effort on one 4 day vacation and came back feeling rubbish Consistency works better for me

that's what maintenance is about! You got this!
-
Step on the scale. Own it. It's not big deal if you don't try to avoid the reality

Mine is spot on. Like freakishly spot on for me!

What percentage of successful weight loss and maintenance is mental, do you think? 100 It took determination, focus and motivation for me to get to where I am at the moment, but I feel like a combination of things this week has meant that my head has not been in the game. And the result has shown on the scale. I'm in need…

that it really isn't that dramatic, no need to panic. If you approach maintenace with the mindset that it's little like a chronic condition. You don;t just deal with it once and done. you actively manage your lifestyle to prevent issue reoccurring That there will be some ups and tthere is really nothing dramatic, just cut…

How are you getting on, did you figure out how to reduce the hunger?

I often ignore the remarks and refuse to comment. Or straight say I am not going to discuss how I eat or exercise, or I am not interested in talking about it. You don't owe any explanation to anyone

budget items eggs, beans, frozen veggies, wholegrain rice, one cabbage shredded with couple of carrots can last few days in the fridge and gives you cheap and satisfying veggies I go by aim for half plate with veggies, quarter of protein and carbs

2 kg in each direction.

I find more inspiration from one poster with comments like this, than 10 tv programs! MFP is full of successful maintainers. Focus on the direction you want to go! I love reading how people that managed to keep of think, it's so inspiring! I won't worry about people that didn't manage, I love being able to find posters…

I go for at least hour walk every day, even on holiday/vacations and don't consider it exercise either. It's activity or active lifestyle for me, not exercise.
