I will join in too!

I was happy with my lifestyle. I wasn't loosing weight for few weeks. If I ate less, or pushed to exercise more it would have been not enjoyable and I wouldn't have been able to sustain it. I had goal lifestyle in mind.

I hit maintenance in September. 2 weeks holiday in Orlando WDW and Universal October/November. Chrismas season! I feel properly challenged. Glad it went relatively well and not too hard either but happy to have few months with no vacations or big holidays ahead! How did it go for you?
-
yes, actually I think it's great idea. I have been up and down and I knew how to gain, and how to loose but not how to maintain. It was new learning to do this. So yes, taking a break and learning how to maintain would be great help long term
-
that's how much I lost. I am at my goal weight now, but after few ups and downs I learned slow works best as it's easier to sustain. Add me

I am so super duper happy! I got a new strength & muscle building 3 day split routine lifting program. The program looks awesome but as there are so many new things for me I felt I will benefit of booking some workout sessions! So I gave myself early gift - 10 private training sessions! 3 for this week Like I have 0…

I am new to the game but I love it this time as I feel better geared for it. I love it as I found what suits me, I love it as while loosing healthy living that feels easy and happy was my goal and now it doesn't feel much of a transition. I love it as I like shopping and trying clothes, while feeling good about myself. I…

I was really nervous few months ago. People don't talk about it much but I feel it's natural. I know how to loose and I know how to gain but learning to maintain is all new to me I feel much more confident right now, just keep monitoring the situation and make small adjustments as needed

I am at the top of my range right now. When I hit maintenance, I had 2 weeks vacation at DisneyWrold and it was important for me to hit the maintenance mindset month before I went away 58 to 60 is my range. I went in maintenance mode at 59, I am little under 60 right now but considering going in small deficit again. I like…

also, you can only loose pound at a time. Focusing on smaller goal as the first 5 pounds and having a very long term vision in mind of what is your life like can make the journey easier
-
I think if you figure out how to live healthy and happy the actual goal may change, or not but the way of living is great focus instead of specific number. Why don't you try to calculate your calorie maintenance at your goal weight and try to stick to it for a month. Would you be happy with that level of intake long term?…

Another carb fan here. Enjoy them!

10 days to go to Christmas! So far, I am doing great but will up my cardio next 10 days little! Most of my social outings are gone, apart from 4 which are very manageable

Tell us little bit more! what happened? How much did you regain? how was your calories in vs calories out? Did you feel your behavior is slipping back to old habits? Don't beat yourself over it. Analyse the situation, think is it only few pounds and you are panicking without reason? Were you eating little more, and…

me too, me too! Will add you

It's natural to be worried, that's perfectly ok! Keep an eye on the scale and adjust the plan as needed. You can do it, and it's great that you are looking for ideas!
-
Hi Dan, you can add me. I also find having maintaining friends great help. Only few weeks I was little nervous about it but feel all the support and inspiration from other maintainers put me in the right frame of mind

Reduce calories. Balance of both really - calorie burn/calorie intake. you can put some music on and dance like no one is watching too! Is it hard? Well honestly some days are easy some aren't. It's not as hard as feeling bad about yourself or being overweight. Maintaining is much easier in my opinion but easy doesn't mean…

Consistency suit me better. I plan to track daily, up my cardio little bit, aim for small deficit on 25 days so I can enjoy extra little few days. I also don't overeat. Meaning even if I really fancy a dessert, if I am full I keep it for later. Once I am full, that's it - no more eating! Another one I like is when I know I…

I absolutely do not assume I am doomed! :) Like at all! I feel pretty confident this time. "Wallow in the holiday enjoyment in the same ol' way you always have, or give your future self, and your family, the holiday gift of your better health? Either one can work; the former one just requires more make-up time." That's it,…

absolutely! Carbs can make you fat. Fat can make you fat. Protein can make you fat. If you overeat on any of them often yes, they will make you fat

38 but heading towards 40 :) Reached maintenance 2 months ago but always looking for both - ways to give support, and way to get it! Add me

weight loss almost everything. Now not random, but I estimate 75% of the time and seem to be working i always measure pasta home as it's something I always underestimate!

to be honest if i know that someone have ED, I would suggest working with professional. It's little bit like drink. I would give glass of vino to a friend and it won't cross my mind to question it. But I would not give glass of vino to a alcoholic in recovery. I just don't know anything about it It's the same with advise…

strong body. Like really awesome.

honestly nobody else cares about how much you weight. I never care about how much my friends weight, I love to see them because they are fun, smart, interesting, compassionate, great to be around. Go out and be great friend. you will deal with your weight after but generally focus on what keeps you healthy and happy. if…

I love this quote. Focus on creating a healthy life you can enjoy and let your weight settles where it may. Make sure you live happy, if you aren't you won't be able to maintain it long term. Dr Yoni Freedhoff "Best weight” is a non-statistical goal that is easy to set and easy to explain to patients. Patients can diet…

I added everybody that offered their support and really enjoying having few maintainers on MFP friend list Would love some more! If interested please add me :) It has been so helpful to read your answers. I am in such great form and feel so confident right now, thanks to reading posts of other more seasoned maintainers!…

garmin was a mess in terms of total daily calories. some days I would walk 25000 steps and another 7 000 without formal exercise and the 7000 would be more daily calorie burn than the 25 000 but if you only track exercise, it was good. I hated it thought as I need my daily totals and quickly returned to fitbit

booze is big one! It's not only the calories from the booze but I am super hungry the next day
