Carb dependency. Lose the carbs, you will lose the hunger.

And regarding soy sauce (which I use a ton of) there are many GF brands, but they are more expensive, so hard to come by in restaurants. But most major grocery stores carry Tamari, which is GF.
-
Do you have a Trader Joe's where you live? They have an immense selection of GF products at great prices, and the staff will walk you through it. Best grocery chain there is...

Love it in place of potatoes, but the sushi rice has such a unique texture and flavor, I don't think you could sub it. Great thought, though.

The first moment I tasted sushi/sashimi, at about age 23, I was hooked for life. And I am a French-Canadian *fille* from New Hampshire. Bring on the raw fish, the BBQ eel, the wasabi, and whatever else.....in my mind, the Japanese are culinary GENIUSES.

I live less than a mile from H Mart, in MD... just moved here from New Hampshire a few months ago, so I am enjoying the spoils of multi-culti living... :)
-
YES! Where do you live??
-
Absolutely, but if you are low-carb or carb-cycling, the rice sends you out of Keto, so the rice is a no-no... In general, it is one of the best things you can eat.

Well, we get it through the restaurant, but you might be able to find a reputable Asian market, depending on where you live. We are outside of DC, so ethnic food is EVERYWHERE.
-
This isn't all I want in this world, but it is way up there. I can't think of a downside to losing weight... :)

Love your style.....great outfit! You wear it well!
-
Ew?

I almost responded, but then I thought....who am I sharing this with? lol.

Best. Response. Ever.

My husband is a (real, legit) Chef, I am a kickass home-kitchen cook and baker. Food is our life (hence the need to lose a few pounds). There are many things that your Nana could teach you, that your culinary professor would have no idea about. Experience trumps education! Gain your own experience by taking chances all the…

Freezing them makes then BETTER in baking. Thaw, mash up, and throw the in with all the liquid. It is a low-carb nightmare, but a culinary dream.

Tough crowd.

And yet, your original post called them "no carb." I was being sarcastic - not mean. Please, get over it.
-
The original post intro (not title) said "no carb," which was then changed to "lower carb." Yes, I initially overlooked the topic title in my response, but to follow that up with "no-carb" is simply incorrect. Be as punitive as you want, but my response, though overly assertive (I see that now) was correct - no debate. Oh,…

Dip in dark chocolate?? Make WG Banana bread? Throw them out?
-
It was edited, the original said "no carb". I have already apologized for the way that sounded.... many carb-conscious people are in Keto, and those cookies are a one-way ticket out. I REALLY didn't intend to sound nasty, so please accept my apology. *edited* to say that there is no mention of "grain free" anywhere in the…

OK, I really did not want to be the b*i*t*c*h (the word that the site bleeped out earlier). I am relatively new to the carb-free thing, and I just feel like you have to be careful about this stuff! The FDA lies to us enough already... I am sorry if I came across that way - i did not mean to sound so awful. That being said,…

Have to jump in here...Zumba is a problem. Fun - yes. Great music - yes. But there is no science behind it that will help you to build strength while preventing injury. These people get certified to teach in a couple of hours, and silly fun is all they have to offer. Do not trust your body to this. The carnage comes into…

Awesome. Love this. Good for you, and everyone that pays attention to this post.
-
So, what about that recipe is "carb free?" hint....NOTHING Not to be a *****....I hate the *****y people on here. But honey, chocolate chips and chick peas? Super-duper carbs.... Let's just say these are healthier than regular PB-choc-chip cookies.

Congratulations!!! Is this your first? It is a wild ride, and the best one you will ever go on. Keep us posted about your progress...I am a devoted stay-at-home mom of two, and I LOVE living vicariously through other people's baby stories. :)

Shin Splints are a sign that you need new/better shoes! Get some good "studio" sneakers for your dance workouts and the shin splints should go away. I love Rykas, and they make both low-impact and high-impact studio styles.

JAZZERCISE!!!! I skimmed the thread, but definitely saw something about liking dancing on here. Find a class at www.jazzercise.com. I am an instructor, but I have nothing to gain from you joining in your area, as we are all independent. The bottom line is that I think everyone should experience the wonder of this program.…
