Thanks. Although I am not sure exactly what my ratio should be. Is there any way to find out what is optimal for me? I am 50 years old, 5'6', and weigh about 145. When I took a metabolic Type survey, I am a mixed type.

I am a lifetime WW member who does not attend meetings. There isn't really any motivation for me to go anymore, but I always do better when I track my food and they have the extra accountability that I needed at first. I get the concept, except that each day is different. Somedays I am in excess of 500 calories, others are just over 300, depending on what we do. I think I will add 3 new exercises, one with less, one with average, and one with more calories burned, then just pick the one that is closer to actual activity. I don't really…

I just joined, and I am electronically challenged. So I need to figure out how to use the different tools to track my exercise and food eaten. Would appreciate any suggestions on how to get the most out of MFP.

I will be 51 at the end of November. It is definitely more difficult to take the weight off, especially if you have hit menopause. Do not get discouraged, you are never too old to get in shape!

Just signed up - have also done WW, Diet Center, LA Weight loss, etc. I am an emotional dieter who goes up and down on the scale like a yo-yo. Basically, I lack discipline.
