  • I jog about 20 miles a week.
  • I didn't weigh. I'm going to go on how my clothes fit and how I feel. I know I gain in the beginning so I said the heck with it and didn't do a starting weight. Bold but there you have it...I don't want to be disappointed.
  • When I first start exercising more I will put on a bit of weight. It is my muscles holding the water.
  • 23.7 right now. Goal will put me at 20.7
  • Our last two are juniors in high school. I have found working out much more doable for me than dieting. I like my chocolate and would rather run daily than give it up.
  • I was up two pounds overall for a day or so and then up a pound. Today I got called in to work and weighed and was actually down a pound from my previous low. I ate like a crazy person the whole time so I'm thrilled. I will say that I did a lot of treadmill time to try and make up for my overeating. Perhaps that helped.
  • People actually look to see if we have panty lines? At the gym? Seriously? Wow.
  • Weigh immediately. If you put it off then you will keep overeating. It is probably not as bad as you think. I took four days off from exercising and ate everything in sight. I gained .4 pounds so not bad at all. Weigh and then jump back into healthy eating and exercise.
  • Yes you can lose weight without working out but the results will usually be faster with exercise and you will look better with exercise. As for being "too busy"...no such thing. It is not a priority with you which is perfectly ok but don't use the too busy excuse. I have five kids, work two jobs and spend hours every…
  • While weight training is important, cardio is what will burn off the fat so you can see those muscles you are building. I would suggest cardio four times a week as well as weighing and measuring food.
  • I will go for a run to earn more calories to eat. Most of the time the run kills my appetite but if I'm still hungry when I cool down, I can eat.
  • I always lose while breastfeeding to a certain point but can never lose that last 8 pounds until I stop. I breastfed long term each time and when I finally stopped those last pounds would come off. Enjoy your baby, be active when you can, try to mostly make smart food choices, and the weight will drop.
  • 1. Exercise daily. You get more calories. 2. For the love of humanity drop the four ball a day habit. That is 1/4 of your daily calories and the carbs make me cringe.
  • I despise every minute of running. EVERY SINGLE MINUTE. But I'm a busy mom with two jobs so running is one of the few workouts that burns a large amount of calories and provides a great workout in a short period of time. So I run but literally hate every single minute of it. Still waiting for that mythical runners high.
  • I am just getting back into exercising so right now I do seven days a week because if I took a day off it would turn into 3 years off. When the habit is formed I will cut back to probably 5 days a week.
  • 5'5.5 here. 41.. Currently 137ish and goal is 125. I look best around 118 but feel best around 130 so I'm picking in the middle of that.
  • I tend to have a few hundred left at the end of the day. I do not weigh my food though and I know the tendency is to underestimate portions so I figure I'm actually pretty close to my goal. Plus I pump breastmilk for a milk bank and MFP says you burn 500 calories a day doing that and I would imagine that your body adjusts…
  • Mine is open. As you can see, I am very good on week days and not so good on weekends. It's a process though and as long as overall my weight is headed in the right direction, I'm fine with a little relaxed eating on the weekends.
  • I had a baby six months ago. Easily went from 180 at birth down to 140ish and then stalled. Went crazy with my eating and gained back up to 148 and then got serious. Down to 137.4 as of this morning. My goal is 125 but that may be too low. I will start exercising today and hopefully the toning will help with how I look.…
  • Pregnancies number 1, 2, 3, and 4 (twins) were stretch mark free. That second set of twins (pregnancy five) did me in and I got quite a few on my lower abdomen. They faded by the time pregnancy 6 and pregnancy 7 rolled around and I got no more with either one of those. And no, I'm not a glutton for punishment...pregnancies…
  • I lose a bit and then hold steady or gain a slight amount and then it goes down again. I try to just make sure that my highest high weight (because all of us have weight fluctuations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis) continues to go down as does my lowest low weight.
  • I am mom to 5 kids (3 are adults and the last two left at home are 14 year olds). I work about 70 hours a week between two jobs and I'm pregnant too. I have no time. I try to squeeze in moments with the kids and make sure that when they want to talk, I listen. One of the kids at home is starting basketball this week and…
  • I have been pregnant six times (yikes) and of that had four singletons and two sets of twins (eight babies). You will gain weight. If you don't the baby will be small but even worse, their brains do not develop fully if you don't eat well. I usually gain around 20 pounds each time (40 with twins each time). It is very…
  • We try to keep a few easy healthy meals on hand that I can throw together quickly or use the crockpot. I have recently switched to morning workouts because I work job 1 from 6:45 to 4:45 and job 2 from 6:00 to 9:30 or so so there was no time for evening workouts. (Job 2 is transcription at home so I can stop and start as…
  • Over time, with exercise and proper diet, it will go away. It always takes me two years or so after each baby. After my 3 own that was fine. Then I had surrogate twins in 2006, surrogate twins in 2008, a surrogate singleton in 2010 and am cycling now (those cycling meds are killer) so my pouch and tire seem to be…
  • I call mine tube sock boobies. Glad to know I'm not the only one.
  • I was normal weight or even thin until about 6 years ago. I became a surrogate and had 7 IVF cycles that resulted in 3 pregnancies (2 sets of twins and a singleton) in that six years. All 3 were c-sections. Now I'm gross. It was worth it but I miss my old body.
  • Lunch for me is usually mostly veggies. Today was a bag of butternut squash and 2 cups of brussel sprouts. Something insane like 20+ grams of fiber. Yum. Love my veggie lunches.
  • You need to feed your body. If you eat 1200 a day you might gain a bit at first as your body adjusts but it will come off again. I would suggest throwing your scale away and going by how your clothes fit. I find that I get too obsessive if I use the scale so I only weigh once a month now.
  • Not really but I'm also not super strict ever. If I want something, I have it. I see this is a lifestly change for me and for me personally, it's more about portion control than eliminating foods.
