For cities, I'd suggest Washington, D.C. (my hometown, so I'm biased), New York City, where you can pretty much walk everywhere, and LA because California really is awesome (make sure you go to Santa Monica and up the coast to San Bernardino). As for country, the most beautiful landscapes I've seen are in West Virginia,…

Be careful what you put on these boards. As you can see from some replies, you are likely to get skewered. As to diaries I just quit looking cause the same thing bugged me.

Screw her. You lost the equivalent of an elementary school-aged child. Find a new doc. And cheers to 43 lbs. lost!:drinker:

I love you, Mr. Incredible!:flowerforyou:

WOW!! Congrats on setting a goal, sticking to it, and REACHING it!:drinker:

Yes, you are my hero!!:drinker:

Do you own a set of weights? Building muscle will help burn fat and change your body composition more than lose weight. Your abs will pop when your body fat composition changes. As for cardio, work up to intervals. intervals.net has a bunch of interval workouts to choose from. Good luck to you!

It is really hard. Women especially can be closed and clique- ish. Join a biking or running group has worked for me. Good luck!

In the spirit of full disclosure, I am a BB coach, but really signed up for the discounts. I drink Shakeology now a few times a week. THE thing it's helped me with is reflux. I have reflux so bad, I thought I had tongue cancer; no kidding, my tongue & throat were on fire. After being put on a few different antacids by…

98% vegan for about three months now. I got stuck & had chicken nuggets yesterday at a friend's little girl's birthday party and felt sick as a dog. Just remember, there's as much vegan crap as non-vegan crap; focus on whole foods & you will be one healthy girl!

I'm about to drink my Shakeology for the day, funny enough. In the spirit of full disclosure, I am signed up as a coach but not active at the moment. The biggest benefit for me has been the effect it has my on reflux. I thought I had tongue or throat cancer for awhile, because it feels like it's on fire when it acts up,…

You really need to watch what you post here, if you're not up for the mean people's comments. I've had a few of my posts that resulted in a lot of nasty, mean-spirited people chiming in. Definitely get your skin thicker beforehand. Sucks, but it's the way of the world unfortunately. Good luck on your weight loss, you must…

We all have those days. I ate meat for the first time in three months yesterday and totally paid for it. It was the only option at the party I went to, other than chips or strawberries. Just shrug it off and recommit mentally. Then make a plan somewhere in writing -- I often use my ipod because I have it with me constantly…

-- THIS! Totally this!!

My question is, what do YOU think of HIM? His opinion of you should not be the deciding factor. If he's a good guy who was not attracted to you before, that's one thing; if he's a jerk about weight, that's quite another. Good luck!

Nice job, keep up the good work!

I think I married your hubby's twin!

If you can save for them, you can get a pair of Bowflex weights -- sorry, I cannot remember the name right now -- the kind that Chalene Johnson uses in ChaLEAN Extreme; you can dial them from I think 2 lbs. up to 50 lbs. per dumbbell. That would save space. You can always use your body weight, too. Good luck!

I love Arbonne Re9, but it's expensive so I get it off ebay. You look very young, I don't know if you need old lady skin care products yet!

You sound somewhat like me. I have been hypothyroid for 16 years and have made a serious (and stalled) effort since November 2010 to lose weight. I've done a number of fitness programs and finally realized that as many calories as I burn and with the way I eat (90% vegan & healthy), there is no WAY I should be this size. I…

Thanks for this post, I really find it fascinating. I have gone vegan, but it's not just in an effort to lose weight, although that certainly is a part of it. Cancer runs in my family (Dad died at 44), and I'd like to avoid it. I try to think of eating FOR health, not just AGAINST weight. I am having major thyroid issues,…

Posting on the forums is the way to find friends. Feel free to add me & good luck!

First thing after toilet, before food and in what my mama gave me.

Look at those arms! Nice job, mama!

Welcome, and you are free to add me, although I'm 46 and Mom to 12, 14 & 16 year old girls. Maybe a bit older than you, but I'm always happy to add more friends. Good luck on your journey!

Shona, from what I'm reading online, what you & I are experiencing is common. A lot of docs only prescribe T-4 meds, but the more natural docs take a more holistic approach -- they treat you until you feel better, not until your numbers look better. Good luck to you -- I'm not stopping until I figure out what's happening &…

Wow, sorry about all the major judgment you are getting here! Obviously these people have not been through it. My husband is diabetic, and it definitely affects our life together. I am as supportive as I can be, especially by encouraging him to walk after dinner and buying healthy food at the store. We also now hike…

Whoever's legs are in your photo look anorexic, in my opinion. They look like a sick person's legs. Skinny or malnutritioned is NOT attractive.
