When I first started on MF I had pretty bad stomach troubles for a few months, but it got the blood sugars down and decreased my insulin resistance so I stuck with it. Better than than injecting at every meal. After a while, the stomach troubles went away, now I have no problems with it.

Are you immune suppressed in some way? (a lot of conditions can do it - insulin resistance for example). Otherwise, yeah it's probably just unfortunate genetics. My wife is the same, if there's one instance of a cold or flu in a 20 mile radius, she'll somehow contract it. All you can do is be extra careful in your hygeine…

'Bad' foods vs 'Good' foods thinking is really important to overcome. It leads to exclusion, denial of wants and eventual diet breakdown. You wanna eat more healthy - fresh veg, fruit, meat, fish and nuts... barely any nutritionist in the world would argue with that.
