  • My heart rate goes that high, too, and I've been working out for a long time. If I'm sprinting, my heart rate spikes up into the 190's. I like to think I'm in pretty good shape, and my heart rate has never changed since I very first started at the gym. I'm 34 and weigh 150 lbs. I'm not worried about it.

I have a certain number of calories (depending how much food I plan on eating that day!) that I want to burn at the gym and I don't leave till I get there!   • My favorite shoe so far is a brand called Mizuno. Very flexible for running but also has a lot of support. I've tried them all and love this brand the best!
  • I wear a heart rate monitor that records my calories (Polar F6-LOVE IT) and it varies between 400-550 for an hour when I take Zumba class. My heart rate gets up to 170 at times during Zumba.
