  • Hi Before I joined MFP I was losing about 2lbs a week (91bs total) but since I've joined here I've only managed to lose another 2lbs which is disappointing. I weigh myself every day. When I was losing it was encouraging to see the scales going down and now it's a bit demoralising but it keeps me determined either way.…
  • Hi everyone I hope it's ok for me to join this group. I was 293 in the summer before I joined MFP...I lost 9lbs before I joined and the n 2lbs after I joined but since then I haven't lost a thing :( I find the challenge of the amount I need to lose completely overwhelming especially as I have been doing my best to limit my…
  • this is a concern of mine too (once I get over the concern of actually losing the weight in the first place!) I read that strength training, hydration and losing the weight slowly helps.
  • Please can I join this group? I started out on MFP at 282 but in August I was 293. I really identify with everything everyone has said and have been inspired by the messages here. Sometimes the challenge ahead seems overwhelming especially now as I have been trying so hard with exercise and calorie counting but in the last…
  • I suppose people are different...personally I appreciate anyone who takes the time to look at what I'm doing and comment on it. It's nice when people comment on the positive as well as the negative and realise that I do know what I should be eating I just can't stop eating what I shouldn't!! good topic by the way :)
  • An interesting question....I don't know but I was wondering are you better to work harder for a shorter length of time or not so hard for a longer time? It's quite a science all this isn't it? I'm learning every day.

  • Hello I'm Kat...I live in York in the UK and have just started MFP aiming to lose a whopping 150+lbs. Ive enjoyed getting back into doing regular exercise and reducing my food intake. I really want to succeed and change my eating and exercise habits for good but I also feel daunted by how far I have to go. If I make steady…
  • My goal is to stick to my MFP calorie allowance and to lose 2lbs per week. On the fitness front I am currently walking, cycling on a stationery bike, using a treadmill, cross trainer and doing some weights and low impact aerobics. I've never succeeded in losing weight...I think my pitfalls are becoming despondent if I…
