I think I would call the doctor and just let them know. Are you taking preventive medication? I take post op meds for prevention of gallstones and stomach acid reduction. A lot of post VSG'rs have immediate reduction in acid reflux after surgery so your heartburn is definitely worthy of a phone call to the doctor.

I am struggling with the crunchy thing big time! I'm about 6 weeks post op so I've just been starting real food and I feel like its absolutely taboo to have any carbs. Another VSG'r told me if she absolutely had to have something to crunch she would have a few of the callbee snapea crisps 1oz serving 130 calories 6 grms of…

I'm sure everyone is different but I know I didn't always eat because I was hungry so there definitely is some re-education and…

I think I am one of the new kids on the block! I had my VSG September 4th 2012 (4 weeks ago) at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto CA. Great program BTW! I am down 15 lbs since surgery and am on m way! 80+ to go! I have been following WLS folks on YouTube and I have learned so much from others! It's awesome!

Well, I'm getting the hang of this stuff and just joined MFP this morning. I am approaching my 51st birthday and am super excited about this stage of my life. I've been a caregiver in some capacity or another all my life and although I continue I want to put myself first. Looking forward to this weight loss journey!
