Oatmeal is generally mushy but I enjoy mine more when I add less water (to make it crunchier) and with some raisins in it it's great. i also love cinnamon in my oatmeal which helps regulate blood sugar.

I got a fun test done at my gym where they put on a mask and made me work out. It gave me my base rate and top rate that I want to stay under to not burn sugar. I think that it's sooo different for everyone that you should consider getting a test like that done and an online calculator won't be as accurate.

i would suggest if you don't already, make you're own food. some of the "diet" foods have really high sugar amounts. Like Healthy choice have like 14g! that's a ton.

I'd maybe look at the amount of sugar that you're consuming. Some lean cuisines or other microwaveable lunches have more sugar than a snickers bar. (!!!)
