Looks like this!

The only real hidden trap (for me) is so called "cheat days". Unless I bank additional calories by eating at a deficit all week, cheat days or even cheat meals can add up over time and undermine maintenance.

You're near the exact middle of the "Normal" range for BMI. So it would be difficult to envision you look anorexic. If folks are used to seeing you at a significantly heavier weight, that might be why they think you look too thin. You could weigh up to 174 pounds before you would approach the "Overweight" category. I'm in…

What's your height and weight, or post a photo if you want folks to agree or disagree. Otherwise, I can tell you after I lost the first 20 lbs. of the 65 lbs I was into an obese BMI, I had people telling me I needed to stop, , , as if it was any of their business. So maybe relax, you can't control what others think or say.

I can EASILY undo an entire weeks dieting with one day eating unlimited. So I'm against it (for me).

I've lost my ENTIRE wardrobe. Other than socks maybe, not one stitch of my clothing from a year ago is still in the house. SCORE!

Very inspiring!

My gym reopened today and I got in my first leg workout for 3 months.

MFP (My Fitness Pal) greatly exaggerates exercise calories. When I used a Fitbit, the calories were only half of what MFP prescribed. So most (many?) of the folks on MFP will only eat HALF of the exercise calories MFP assigns their activities.

Yes focusing on weekly goals of a pound or two worked best. In 9 months I went from 113kg. to 82kg, obviously it's do-able.

Can you tell us a little about your experience, what you did, how long it took, etc.???

It is like those that say, "Once a Marine, always a Marine", or in Alcoholics Anonymous, they most often refer to themselves as a "Recovering" alcoholics, even after 10 or more years of sobriety. I too appreciate the idea of having my obesity in remission. I've had that "healthy, conscientious" switch in my brain turned…

do a google search for pullup training by Major M.J. Posey. So many cool options there.

I've tried peanut butter on a variety of sandwich types, and it works on practically everything.

As a male it might not help you, but I just wanted a BMI less than 30 and a waist less than 40". Once I got there, I went by how I looked and felt. Once the muffin-top disappeared and I felt better than I had for as long as I can remember, I decided I was at my goal weight. FYI, my BMI is around 27, but I'm finally…

In the past, every time I tried to "relax" my regimen I would lose my drive. This time I've continued to weigh myself everyday (yup, E V E R Y D A Y) and weigh or measure everything that goes in my mouth that has calories, and I've managed to maintain my mojo. I know it sounds like a lot. But it's 3 minutes in the morning…

OMAD and/or 20:4 fasting will only produce weight loss if you eat less calories than you burn each day. So having a caloric goal (at a resonable deficit, say 500 calories less than you burn a day), ACCURATELY weighing and measuring your food and only eating back half (or less) of the ridiculous amount of calories MFP gives…

For spending 2 hours mowing the lawn. Calorie BURN!!!

The OB/GYN told my wife (at 5'3" and 130 lbs) that she should/could gain 35 - 40 lbs, averaging a pound per week starting in her 4th month during her pregnancy. That was a while back, but I doubt it's changed much. She bounced back fine and each time the babies were perfectly healthy.

I've tried all sorts of "half way" logging food or weighing myself and was never successful. This time I weigh/measure EVERYTHING, EVERYDAY that I eat and weigh myself EVERY morning. Bam! I'm down 66 lbs and I've been successful for over a year. I suspect I'll continue doing it for a long time.

Took all my XXL and XL clothes to Goodwill today. Good riddance!

when I was young, I wanted to lift prodigious poundage. So I packed on the weight and size to lift as much as possible in the powerlifts. Now that I'm older, I've dieted down. I eat right. I train to see how many pullups, situps and pushups I can do and see how healthy I can be and HOW LONG I CAN LIVE!!!

Weigh once a day, before eating in the morning.

I asked the same question when we were in Hawaii. They said it HAS to be an interstate for it to be federally funded. So that's what they named it. Go figure! 🤷♂️

According to the LATimes and the WSJ, automobile accident rates are down by 50% and deaths due to accidents are down by 40%. They did NOT say if that was an equivalent amount to those dying from the COVID-19 virus, but a benefit of the government lockdown. Per the National Safety Council, there were 39,404 deaths in 2018,…

Starting at 250 lbs, it took 20 lbs. before I started feeling it and close to 30 before anyone else noticed. At 30 lbs. I stopped wearing baggy old oversized clothes and got "new" ones at Goodwill. Once I was down 2 pants sizes I started buying legitimately new clothes. Wish I hadn't, because at 65 lbs. down (now) not of…

That's jacked. Good work!

Putting dirty dishes on the counter ABOVE THE DISHWASHER. It's 6 inches away to open the dishwasher and put 'em in. ARGGH! But, if that's the worse thing, I'm doing okay!
