Welcome! Try one small change at a time and stick with it until it becomes a habit then add another change. One thing I did was a simple rule of nothing sweet until after lunch which effectively stopped me from eating sugar for half the day. I find this easy now. Another change I added in later on was no potato chips ever…

I heard a great tip once. When you are at the supermarket spend most of your time in the outside aisles and the smallest amount of time in the inner ones. All the good healthy least processed stuff is around the walls. Meat, fruit and veg, dairy items in fridges etc. But the not so good stuff - sweet, heavily processed…

Different strokes for different folks as they say! But I did the gym thing for years and would always start well and then drift off, wasting loads of money. I bought a second hand treadmill, started small -a 5 minute jog and just added a few seconds each day. I do it in front of my favourite tv shows. I am up to 24 minutes…

I too am 5'1" . And yes in the obese category as well. Come on you've made a great start! Let's do this thing together!

I started by tricking myself. I said I'll do just 5 minutes of exercise a day. So I did that and then I added a bit more each day. Hang in there!

10 almonds and a cup of tea seem to curb my hunger. And going for a walk is an excellent swap - it puts off the eating for a bit, USES calories instead of adding them, and sometimes even takes away the urge to eat!

For me using mfp seems to be working successfully as a brake. When I am at various xmas functions so far I just think about how I have to record it and my sensible self says "no way" or "just a bite" or "a small piece" or "stop at one"!
