LCHF
Hi, I turned 60 in June. Been a long time MFP user with good success and then this year, my weight went up and wouldn't budge. I'm trialling LCHF with some success. I also have a simple Fitbit flex and have that synched to MFP. I'm hoping that all these will work in combination to budge this new weight issue. Today marks 1…

Calories for moving day.
Anyone moved house recently? Wondered if you had calculated any kind of calorie use involved with the physicality of moving house. No time to exercise today but lots of picking up, carrying walking and unpacking. Any ideas??

Thought of everything didn't you!!
I have lost a good amount of weight so far and have just realized that the MFP website automatically adjusts the calorie usage of my exercise according to my current weight. So now I must increase my exercise in order to use up the same amount of calories as I used to when I was heavier. it may be obvious to most of you,…

HM days in a row?
I just got congratulated for logging in for 260 days in a row and I was wondering what the record is, apart from the founders of this website of course. I have had such great success and now I wonder who else has stuck with it and continued doggedly with daily loggings? So who has logged on for the most amount of days?…

hypnosis iphone apps
Loving a couple of free iphone apps that offer weight loss hypnosis. Not sure if the hypnotic suggestion is working but using them to relax and get to sleep at night is fantastic and, heck, if they end up embedding some weight loss techniques into my brain, all the better! Anyone got some really good ones to suggest? For…

THE JOY OF A SMALLER SIZE!
Just took advantage of the winter sales here in Australia and bought a new pair of twill jeans - size 12. Not size 16,18 or even one time there was a 20! Nope I am now down the smaller end of the rack with only usually 2 occasionally 3 sizes below that. Thank you MFP !!!!!!!

Just when I thought I was doing ok!
I thought I was doing so well. Dinner party at my girlfriends. Not seen them in months. She'd lost 10 kilos with a naturopath and I'd lost only 6. Her husband pointed out how terrific she looked and was relatively unimpressed with me. I keep telling myself it doesn't matter. But it really does deep down.

mothers day gift
So I have lost just over 5 kilos and have had to sort through my wardrobe. I've given big things away, had stuff taken in and bought a tiny amount of new things. I love fashion and always tried to look good even at my biggest. I love that I don't have to look in the "big" ladies shops or extra large departments at stores…

My Treadmill
Having loads of success on my treadmill. I started by tricking myself to just do a 5 min jog on it. Then I gradually increased it by 15 seconds each day. I am now up to about 25 mins and loving it! I do it as a sort of interval brisk walk/ jog. 1 min 5kms/hr, 1min 6kms/hr, 1 min 7, 1 min 8, then back to 1 min 6, then 2…

Proactive!
Years ago I read an article about Oprah which said that she didn't make New Year resolutions. Instead she chooses a single word and uses it to orientate herself through the year. So that is my decision this year too and my word will be "proactive"! I will aim to be proactive in my food choices, my physical exercise, my…
