  • I had half a large Pizza Hut pizza recently. Fit my goals and I stayed under for the day. Nothing wrong with pizza (or any food) if you don't eat too much.
  • I honestly don't think I have a selfish reason for doing this. I want to get healthy, and I want to hopefully improve my confidence so I can get a job, and actually function in social situations (as in, answer the phone, not be scared if I have to take something back to a store or something). That's it.
  • hmm might have to try these.
  • Depends on the cereal. I have Corn Flakes, 1 serving is 30g. I had to LOWER that to 20g because 30g was too much once I added a small amount of fruit on top.
  • I'm in, I'll post the details later :)
  • It was nearly 7 years before I was born, but John Lennon. Can't even explain it really but I have cried quite a bit over that one. Steve Irwin's was pretty upsetting but tbh I (and I think most people) had been expecting it to happen at some point with how he was with animals. I mean he was awesome, but he took a lot of…
  • Probably not unless you couldn't afford it (although sounds like that isn't a problem in the situation described) But I would discuss it with her/them and see what they think. They might want to pay rent or at least contribute in some way (pay something towards the weekly food shop for example)
  • I care more about personality (funny, honest, caring, things in common, the usual), but if I had to pick a "type" it would certainly be bigger guys. Not necessarily overweight, just.....cuddly :) Not keen on really skinny guys, and don't like OTT muscle-ey guys, but something in between would be ok too.
  • Semi skimmed cows milk. I tried Alpro unsweetened almond milk yesterday but I wasn't a fan. Just a slightly odd after taste, even with cereal.
  • I get that, but the raw steak starts off 446/26 so unless cooking it can increase the calories and fat content then as far as that site is concerned it all comes from the oil you cook it in. Not planning to cut all the fat off, I'll trim it to 1/8". That's plenty to keep it juicy and tasting good, plus it will have a sauce…
  • Cycling. Love cycling although still don't do mega distances. I'd like to add other things, mostly running, but not sure when I will start trying that.
  • Thanks. I've gone somewhere in between all the figures I have. 550 calories, 30g fat and 13g sat fat. It won't make that much difference even if I'm way underestimating, I just like to try to be accurate with my diary.
  • Cooking it myself so trimming it is certainly an option. I'm not too fussed. The calories will be fine once I've done my exercise for the day but I'll still be way over on fat. Never looked on the USDA website. Didn't even know about it, probably because I'm in the UK. Looks extremely useful although still a bit confused.…
  • Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Me Up. I can't buy it because I eat too much in one go >_< A small serving isn't bad but I end up having 1/4 or more of a tub at a time.

  • I've had a Polar FT7 for a week a would highly recommend it. As others have pointed out, it is still just an estimate at calories burned, but they all are and it's going to be a lot more accurate than using MFP, built in counters on exercise machines or an app on your phone. I've found the FT7 shows I actually burn around…
  • Not because of a job, but my sleeping is pretty messed up. I'm often up until 3-4am and then sleep until 11am-midday. (I have delayed sleep phase syndrome.....permanent jet lag basically) I'm pretty bad for late night snacking and have often gone over for the day because of it. But then I'll sometimes skip breakfast if I'm…
  • Up calories and/or lower how much you want to lose each week. I'm 193 pounds and have been netting around 1200 for a while now after telling MFP I still wanted to lose 2lbs a week (actually dropped it to 1.5 maybe a month and a half ago) but I was stuck around the 194-197lbs mark for a month (up and down daily pretty much)…
  • SW: 240 CW: 197 GW: 190 Weigh in Dates: 6/3 - 197 6/10 - 195.75 6/17 - 193.3 6/24 - 193.3 6/30 - 193 Cycled 17 miles and walked 1.4 miles for 18.4 total. Total cycled: 108 Total walked: 13.8 Total overall: 127.4 out of 150 mile goal (I've missed something somewhere, that's straight from the Runtastic app) Well didn't reach…
  • Going through that now. I've been trying to hit a NET of 1200 for a few months now probably but haven't been losing that much weight. Figured I need to up it to net at least BMR of 1700ish. I'm just taking it slowly, and my daily goal at the moment is 1550. My guilt levels tend to be tied to if I've exercised that day or…
  • I prefer not to eat within a few hours of going to bed but I usually end up having something. I'm awful at night time snacking.
  • Not exactly. I look in the mirror and I think I look what I weigh, even more so before I lost any weight. But it hasn't mattered how big I've been, I've never felt that big in my head. Not like I've felt skinny, I just haven't felt like I'm carrying 240+ pounds of weight around. Probably part of why I didn't try to lose…
  • I'd log anyway, depending on how much you eat it could still add quite quickly. Even if you just quick add 50-100 calories.
  • I do sometimes but then I'm also way under some days. I usually just look at/care about my weekly average, which is always under.
  • Bump. Also not a huge fan of the flavour but would like to try and eat more if possible.
  • When I don't have cereal I either have egg sandwiches or fruit and yoghurt. Personal fave is peach slices with fat free natural yoghurt but just use whatever you like. I tend to use ready prepared peaches (Nature's Finest), they come in a pineapple, grape and a few other fruit's juice/syrup. It makes them slightly higher…
  • No one is saying you have to eat a lot of it in one go. It wouldn't be hard to work out the nutritional values, and from there you just have enough to still fit into your macros. Sounds like a nice recipe which as well as satisfying a craving for chocolate could be a quick and healthy way to get some healthy extra…
  • 25 here, first attempt at losing weight, going good so far. Feel free to add me :)
  • One of the few advantages of being unemployed, I can work out when I want for as long as I want. I usually go out on my bike for an hour between 11am and midday. Sometimes then go for a 20-30 min walk around 4-5pm. Not sure where I'd fit it in if I was working full time. My parents for example leave the house at 8am and…
  • I usually just try to go for walks. Cycling is pretty much a no no and those are the only 2 forms of exercise I do really. Just depends how I'm feeling. If you don't feel up to it then don't.
  • Not Runkeeper, but Runtastic has done similar to me in the past. Says I've gone 3000+ miles and burned 9473467 calories or something. With that I just ignore it and enter a manual session, or restart if I'm in the middle/just started. The last few times I've looked at the map before starting a session or when just browsing…
