Wow. That escalated quickly.

Firefly, dammit.

One pound away from a newborn baby giraffe.

I am really sorry for your loss. It must be hard to deal with your grief without resorting to eating your feelings. I think one of the best things I did on my "diet" so far was participate in "No-Cheat November" on here. It was close to the beginning of my journey, and really helped me solidify good habits. A goal spanning…

My opinion is that you should not stress about the tiny amount of carbs in fresh raw non-starchy veggies. Cut sugars, cut highly processed crap, cut whole grains if you feel you must (though I think they're a great source of vitamins and energy), but broccoli, lettuces, kale, etc. have so many nutrients that you are making…

I actually started taking progress pics from day one on purpose, but AFTER I lost 100 lbs, I found one that I would have never suffered to live if I had realized its existence. I'm PROUD of that picture now though because it really does show just how far I've come. Worst. Photo. Ever.…

Dude, you may need to rethink your relationship with food.

Good for you on recognizing this for complete BS. You know what they say, if you can tell the difference between good advice and bad advice, you don't need advice. :) Not entirely true, but funny. Anyway, I agree with others. Let your metabolism shake itself out. You've reviewed your plan. If it's a good plan, and you are…

Yo. My goal is to lose 200. I'm down 126 so far. I think I'll end up losing about 500 pounds the way I have to keep losing the same damn 2 pounds over and over again. ;)

Well, I can't do a lot of processed food. It totally hinders my weight loss. What about really simple lunches of boiled eggs and fresh raw veggies? I do that a lot and it's super easy.

Please say Timelord. Please, please, please, please.

Dude, that's the whole reason I show up for the running club every Thursday. There's beer after.

Definitely don't reward yourself with food. You want a healthy relationship with food which means using it as it was intended: something that fuels your activity and repairs your body. I have used different rewards: gotta finish my workout before I use the Internet, if I do my crossfit, THEN I get to go kayaking, etc. For…

I did 5K training with the "Zombies, Run!" 5K training app. It was fun. I also have the game.

There's no winning, it's hugely creative. (He's in creative mode, btw. That's why no monsters.) Look at it this way. Minecraft is legos you can't step on or have to pick up. And be happy he's not obsessed with a first person shooter simulation. No one ever went nuts chopping pretend trees, and building pretend barns to put…

Wait, what? You're pregnant? Exercise is awesome, and you should watch your diet so you don't gain overly much but you don't want too drastic a deficit when you're pregnant. I mean, seriously, it's the most metabolically active time of your life. And I agree with others, log everything, ESPECIALLY the days you're ashamed…

I don't normally eat back exercise calories. I figure my intake on a higher activity level and then don't sweat the day to day stuff. But yesterday I totally ate back a TON of exercise calories because I spent five hours in the hot sun swinging a sledgehammer and breaking down a deck. Listen to your body. If you know how…

Screw motivation. Rely on discipline. if you're down to your last ten pounds then you KNOW how this works. My standard answer to this question is here in its own blog post. http://actionfiguremini.tumblr.com/post/53432744622/lost-your-motivation-my-standard-answer

Mmmmmm. Bee puke.

Eh, I do both. I try to eat a lot of minimally processed things, but mostly so I can make room for the occasional "junky" treat and still meet my goals. I just try not to be an *kitten* about anything. Sometimes I fail.

Is this a paleo thing?

I am 5'1.5" and I *think* my goal is 150. I am 222 with 45% body fat right now which puts my lean mass at 120 pounds. If I can keep all of it as I lose, 150 would give me a BF% of 20%. That's my goal - 20% body fat. I don't give a rat's *kitten* what the scale says as long as that's my composition.
-
I'm down 124 and have some to go. Not sure how much. 75, maybe? I want a specific body fat percentage, more than I want a certain weight, so I don't really know my goal number. I think I have 150 in MFP just because it demands "something", yano? Anyway, anyone can add me if you want.

You are in the beginning of your process. You are going to be hyper aware of everything related to food right now. How many calories are in it, macros, serving size, etc. It's kind of like being a convert to a new religion, in a way. At first EVERYTHING in the world relates to your new way of life, but then slowly, as you…

Miso soup, raw sliced crunchy veggies.

I've done it. It was awesome. I'd drive two hours for it.

2 hours if I'm outside distracted. Hour and a half if I'm indoors and focused. Maybe it's just hella hotter outside and slows me down. I dunno. I do a full body kettlebell workout and some body weight fitness stuff too: pushups, situps, planks, side planks, leg lifts, etc.

I was scared to at first, but now I'm not. I even confidently buy things that I think will fit great in "10 pounds or so" because I'm really secure that this isn't a fad, and I'm going to keep sticking with it. I didn't get rid of anything til about 70 pounds off though and by then everything was literally falling off me,…
