  • 18 miles on the SCT yesterday!
  • 7.09 Miles Tuesday 8.32 Miles today. Planning on at least 14 on Saturday on the SCT-ATL. I feel like a goal of 100 miles is doable! You all are so inspiring!!! Anne
  • I started cycling because running hurt my feet. I love cycling! This weekend I did 14 miles on the Silver Comet Trail in Atlanta. I try to ride at least 3 times a week, usually 7 or 8 miles at a time. I would love to know techniques to get more out of my ride and my bike, a schwinn hybrid. I bought it because it was…
  • Had triplets at 48. I was 271. I am now 51 and 200. I work out like a dog. I can not seem to drop the weight.
  • Measure your waist, hips, thigh, neck and upper arm. Use that as a checkin instead of the scale. My muscle mass increased and I haven't lost a pound either (I have been exercising hardcore for months now). I've started measuring because I couldn't imagine that it was having no effect. My body fat is down from 36% to 29%,…

I hope to be down that much more before 9/1, about which time I will hopefully become pregnant by IVF. I am 47.
  • My advice, don't wait to reward yourself till you meet some far off goal, do it all along the way. I quit smoking - I deserve regular pedicures (more than covered by the savings of not indulging a pack a day habit.). I exercise three or more times in a week? Drawing supplies or writing implements. I resist my urge to buy…
  • Do zucchini and or yellow squash make good chips?
  • You know I don't think my problem is foods I don't like, I like food! But giving up half & half, butter, peanut butter, pasta, salami, pepperoni, sopresato, (etc, etc) and italian bread just seems to take the joy out of life. And alcohol, did I mention alcohol? Doh!
