Monica - I've been in the same boat as you this year. I've been so unmotivated in the past, but have found a renewed passion for trying to lose. While I need to lose at least 100 lbs, I am only looking at the next 10 for now. Feel free to add me for support as well.

I need to lose about that much too. Gladly be friends with you!

I started back up last week myself and am super motivated. Feel free to add me as a friend

hahahahahaha - the title of your thread made me giggle out loud. I too think fish tastes like poop. Maybe I need to read some of these ideas!

WOW! Thank you all so much for your responses…I guess we are split - some like it, some hate it. I am also tracking with both, and we will see if I make any progress.

I am lacking serious motivation. I'm hoping by paying for a service (even thought it was on sale) I will be able to stick to a plan and see some results.

The treadmill is a bore - GET OUTSIDE AND WALK! I'm the same height, and was the same weight as you back in January. Just sticking to my calorie count (and I still cheat a little from time to time) and walking religiously has lead me to lose 35 pounds so far. Set a goal. I use MapMyWalk and set a goal each month. I started…

chub rub…hahahahaha! I still wear shorts under my skirts to prevent this.

Same here - I love the support friends on this site bring - send a friend request!

Did anyone see Joe's story last night (3.11.15)? I was so moved by the fact that he was able to lose 150 POUNDS pre-surgery! I wish the show didn't end before he had lost more of the weight. I need an update on him!

Way to go! I took my first body shot this morning and also can't wait to take another in a month to see if there is any diff.

I think weight loss is 100% motivation. If you are in the mindset of "I'm going to DO this" you can easily turn away from the doughnuts and the pizza and the candy. Those choices don't even appeal to me anymore. I quit smoking almost 6 years ago after being a 2 pack a day smoker. The only way I was able to quit that time,…

I asked this same question a few weeks back. I gained like SEVEN pounds overnight when I started my period, and it came off, about a pound a day for the entire week. It is a total mind bender, but just try to ignore it and keep on keeping on.

I usually get that message when I have stuck to my calorie count but did a lot of exercise that day…and yes, I like getting that message from time to time because it reminds me that I'm on the right track. And that I can have a low-cal pudding. :)

1. I love the idea that I have made a step towards my monthly goal - I set mile goal each month. Last month is was 60 miles, which I passed..this month it's 75 and I've already put 30 miles behind me so far. 2. I love that my co-workers and family see me head out for a walk EVERY DAY. 3. I love that I have become somewhat…

How encouraging - my daughter took a photo of me watching TV the other day and I was appalled - double chin AND saggy jowls. She was laughing but I wanted to run and hide!
-
you look amazing! You can totally see the difference - you look so much younger!
-
I LOVE IT WHEN I GET THAT MESSAGE!!!!!
-
I just turned 50 - would love to lose a big 100 pounds, but I'll take what I can get. I walk daily - if anyone wants to add me as a friend, I'd love it!
-
cool snake. I hope you get back at it. A few years back I lost 40 pounds and gained it all back (and am now trying to lose it again). Find your groove and make it happen.
-
You are so right. Two pairs of pants that I couldn't fit in on January 1st fit me now.
-
A co-worker who only sees me once a week did tell me yesterday that I was getting "all kinds of skinny." Thanks everyone for your input and support. It really helps me keep things in perspective.
-
Thanks guys - it's just so frustrating at the end of every day when I complete my food diary MFP is like "If you eat like this everyday you will be "x" weight in 5 weeks!" Well it's been more than 5 weeks and I'm not any where near their "x" weight. Oh well, like you said, slow and steady wins the race.
-
add me!
-
You can add me if you'd like! I'm here everyday trying my best!
-
@Sandcastles61 - I'm just happy than rather than sulk and succumb I got pissed and worked harder. It may be a while before I get to post a weight lost status, but it will come!

ha ha dontjinxit - they are both digital

Well, look at that. I was searching under snow shoveling rather than shoveling snow.
