I set my fitbit alarm, take my pill then go back to sleep!

My husband and I have both lost weight and gotten in better shape in the last year and we absolutely love watching the cooking channel. I don't know if it is vicarious fun watching the cooking or perhaps that I have learned more about flavoring food? I got the impression that Jenny Craig is a temporary weight loss system -…

I think he meant that if you see an end you are seeing a temporary diet or fitness plan which will lead to eventual failure. I personally think this is true. If you diet and exercise then revert to the habits that got you overweight and out of shape, you are pretty much bound to end up back where you started.

Yes :s

Do you mean it to say most people overestimate their calorie intake - I thought it should be underestimate?

They also lost weight because they were restricting calories. My impression from my doctor was that losing weight and restricting calories was the most important goal.

GhirardehooiAussi93;31116580"] I agree with everyone else...you need to have a detailed talk with your doctor to set up guidelines that fit your medical condition. You need to take diabetes seriously. Both of my parents developed it, so I am doing my best now to do anything I can to prevent it or at least delay it. That…

I really think you should see a nutritionist to help you answer questions like that. Or go to a reputable diabetic website. That way you can get help deciding how much sugar your body can handle.

They are for me because they satisfy my sweet tooth and have a smooth creamy consistency which I like. If you don't like bananas, I don't think they would be a good choice.

I find them an almost perfect pre workout food especially with a little almond butter. They sit easy in my stomach and keep my blood sugar from crashing.
The OP says she wants to lose it. I can understand wanting to lose it under these circumstances. I doubt 10 is possible, but 2 weeks of giving it the ol' college try isn't likely to hurt anything.
That was my thought too - and also that eating well and exercising for 2 weeks will make a person feel better…

I workout before work. It is a drag at first getting up but I feel better throughout the day. After work, I never seem to feel like working out.

Pure Barre is low/no impact.

Very impressive:-)

With so many now overweight, it should prove to be a profitable market - which is sort of the point of fashion (making money). :-)

Generally - as you age your metabolism does slow down. So if you're older than last time, you may have to go with fewer calories. I think building muscles and exercising is key - otherwise you really don't get to eat very much you get older.
-
I definitely relate. Now that you have owned it - I am sure you will do better. :-)

If they have a new ballet teacher and the thighs have slimmed, it could be from better technique. Ballet done wrong leads to more bulky muscles than ballet done right. (Both my daughters danced for years with one continuing for fun in college.)

I like Biochem Ultimate 100 % Whey protein, Natural but truthfully I think there are many good protein powders out there.

I find Biochem Ultimate 100 % Whey protein, Natural to be very taste neutral.

Yeah - then you can watch everyone else starve to death. :s

I think this would depend on the person. Some people can eat all sorts of things and never have elevated cholesterol levels due to 'good' genes. Another might eat a diet that fit all the dietary recommendations to lower heart risk and still have high cholesterol etc. The key is to find out how your diet effects you and…

I eat a banana with some almond butter before my early morning workouts. After, I have my 'super coffee' which is just coffee with some protein powder in place of the cream. I was getting dizzy during my workouts when I did not eat before. Ironically, this didn't happen at first when I had a larger fat surplus.

I plan around social events and don't know if I consider them cheat days exactly. I do know that if I want to have several drinks and eat on a weekend, I need to eat a bit less on weekdays to compensate.

With thyroid, I sometimes feel that I have to work harder at losing weight than I might otherwise. My loss also might be slower, but I can still lose weight. I've now lost over 50 pounds but my average weekly weight loss is only about .6 pounds.

Filet is a good choice for steak and very yummy.

Nice :D

I have been drinking more green tea. It is less irritating to my stomach than coffee. Unfortunately less caffeine too so sadly it does not give me more energy.
