Just checking into this thread so far I have been losing weight this year not quite as much as I would like but I’m down and I have been exercise more. Now wanting to start a habit of eating more fruits and vegetables!

Sure - I think plant-based and clean eating is great and I’m glad it’s had some health improvements for you. This is just my personal opinion - I gain weight when I ignore my bodies fullness signals so tracking what I eat helps me lose weight.😄

My goals for the year are to eat healthy and exercise! I was doing very well for about 2 years and then struggled this fall and through the holidays. I am feeling like I am back on track though and have done well with my eating for 2 days and have been exercising also. :-)

When I recovered from my surgery, I made sure to get more protein in so that I would not lose muscle and just stuck to my low calorie goal. It wasn't easy but I tried to view it as part of the after surgery prescription since added weight makes surgery and recovery harder on the body. I also had to go with a very low…

If you suddenly cut back, most people lose water weight at first which is also easy to gain back once you start eating again. I am glad that you had such a nice loss up front as it helps with motivation. :-)

To help with weight loss and also change body shape, I prefer to go with both diet and exercise. :-)

McD's has lots of healthy choices. The reason it gets a bad rap is because a lot of people don't make a healthy choice when eating there. But I don't think a Big Mac meal with a pop would be less healthy than a plate of nachos or large plate of Fettuccine Alfredo.

Sure as long as your calorie goal is correct. I do find that fast food makes me bloat quite a bit. Not sure if is the sodium or something else.

I have a desk job and I set my MFP up as sedentary and then log the exercises.

I have always been jealous my husband's calorie allotment which is 900 calories more per day than mine!!!!!

They are not allowed to shut of power in the winter here if there are young kids in the home. But I just read the article and they had an illegal meter that was disconnected. They had never signed up for power. What an awful tragedy.

A common theme seems to be that they also smoke instead of eating . . .

MFP does let you factor in your activity level in your calorie goal.
