How I think about food and I don't really mean calorie wise as much as how healthy it is. I have really altered my thinking from a "diet" to a lifestyle. I had the same issue with my ft4. When I checked the battery it wasn't tight. Fixed it and moved on. I now use mine without even wetting it. However, I live on the gulf coast and it is ALWAYS humid here and skin is always moist.

Don't let this frustrate you. Been there done that! Men just lose weight easier and faster. I can eat like a saint and bust my rear exercising, he can eat whatever he wants and more than me and lose at my same pace or faster. You just have to learn to not measure your progress against him. I had the same experience. But some of my new clothes that fit are so out of style they ended up in the work clothes pile. I am the smallest I"ve been since having my now 15 year old. Great feeling

FYI, we quit eating brown rice altogether and substitute quinoa instead. Lower carbs , it's actually considered a complete protein.. I even make stir fried rice(quinoa) with it. It's also quite easy to prepare.

Thanks for all the support! I think talking about my lack of motivation made me realize I needed a kick in the butt. I tend to not voice my struggles. Other than my daily workouts I am rather sedentary. Trying to get more exercise in. I do measure my food and use a food scale.

OK, diary opened, however keep in mind I am approaching this as a lifestyle change, so I enjoy foods off plan occasionally but always monitor my calories. I am 5'9 and currently 215.

I love chinese food. My husband and I make it at home. I substitute quinoa for rice in fried rice,add in the vegetables and teriyaki chicken, substitute egg beaters for the egg. Turned 47 this week and have lost 43#'s since joining MFP in October. It is never too late and so worth it. I can't convey how much better I feel physically and emotionally. Only wish I'd done it sooner. Add me, I'm on here regularly.
