I've struggled with PCOS since I was 18 (I'm 46 now) My older sister also has it. I am still trying to find out what works. The difference this time is I'm willing to put in the time, trial and error, whatever it takes. I've lost 5 pounds since I started logging 65 days ago. It's painstakingly slow and frustrating. PCOS is…

I'm married and I have a thing for big hands, deep voice, cute butt, chest hair and nicely kept beards...all of which my hubby has!

Totally non-judgemental. I have scars from "falling off the wagon" so many times! I did well a couple of years ago on MFP so here I am again because a coworker lost 11 lbs recently and I want to get healthy again too! I am 46 and having pain from carrying around 55 extra pounds. I can only exercise 15 minutes at a time…

I love gardening too. I can't wait to get out and burn some calories on my favorite hobby this spring! My favorite show is The Walking Dead, although I've allowed myself to get a season behind because I dont' have AMC. I have 55 pounds to lose myself. Me and hubby fall into the "too busy to cook lets just stop and get some…

I'm so glad I posted this. Thanks for all the friend requests and wonderful comments. Just what I needed to hear. I am a nurse and I do realize this will take some time. I also know I'm cutting my time on this earth short if I don't start working on my issues. I look forward to succeeding right alongside you all.

I've let myself get 50 lbs. overweight and it was very easy (thank you PCOS). I'm 46 and just trying to feel better. Today is my 3rd day of tracking. I did this 2 years ago and lost 10 lbs over 3 months. It's slow but it works. Just wondering if anybody else has the aches and pains I do in their 40s from carrying around…

My profile pic shows my progress. I HATE my round face, especially my 2nd chin! Glad it's going away. 8# loss is making a difference already.

I am 44 with a similar story, so you are not the oldest. I've flirted with this disorder long enough. I'm ready to get serious and back to a better version of myself!

I have PCOS also, so your post gives me hope. I have found my weight is coming off very slow. Has that been your experience?

I want a professional photo session with my hubby. I love all the photography ideas on Pinterest with old cars, tractors, etc. I HATE being in pictures now. My goal is to not hide from the camera anymore!

I've found that my Ipod turned to 80s music does a wonderful job drowning out Leslie's voice! Just my 2 cents.

I'll chime in! My 8s are just now too loose also! I too have other sizes that have been pushed to the bottom of the drawer just waiting for me. Congrats to you! Strut those 6s girl!

I had to push myself to exercise too but I choose things I enjoy (ie walking outdoors) and things I can fit into my day. I went on youtube and there are all kinds of shorter workouts you can manage until you build up tolerance. Just start! Even 10 minutes a day will help. My problem in the past has been an all-or-nothing…

I am 3 weeks into this also and feeling much like you. I barely saw the scale move this week...about 0.25 pound which is 3.75 total. I'm exercising and logging faithfully...keeping my calories around 1300-1400. I'm going to keep pushing on. Surely the scale will catch up to my hard work. Good luck to us both!

I'm planning to reward myself every 5 pounds...by the time I lose my goal of 50# I will have 10 rewards! I'm thinking smaller things like nail polish, mani/pedis, cute socks, perfume, bath & body stuff, jewelry, etc. I definitely know what I am doing when I reach my goal--booking a professional photo session for me and my…

I have known I have PCOS since my 20s (I'm 44 now). I've been faithfully logging in and tracking for 3 weeks on MFP. I have 50 lbs to lose. I already know it will be a slow process because of Insulin resistance. I'll gladly help out any way I can. I'm trying to stay out of diabetes land. Feel free to add me.
