A brilliant week - an incredible 6 months

Hi all! I don't post on here often, but I have been using MFP for 6 months religiously and have had much success!

I have lost 29kg/63lbs since August. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and have used diet, exercise and metformin to succeed. My BMI has gone from 35.3 to 25.5. My next major goal is another 2 kg and I am OFFICIALLY a "healthy" BMI.

This week I fitted in a UK/NZ size 10 dress (5ft 9/175cm and 79kg), and my husband was able to LIFT me. The latter of which reduced me to copious amounts of tears.

I have just ordered my new work uniform (size 10! Or small!) I am so excited about it arriving!

I am running a half marathon in June.

And everyone can do what I did! No doubt

I have PCOS also, so your post gives me hope. I have found my weight is coming off very slow. Has that been your experience?

Woohoo another kiwi. Congratulations. I've only been going on this lifestyle since 11 February 2014 and I haven't lost a lot of weight compared to others but I have lost 7cm off my waist and 5cm off my hips so that's the motivation that keeps me going. Keep up the good work.:smile:

Are you on metformin? I find without it my weight loss slows, stops and then I gain weight on the same regime.
