Seattle here. I'm not the cheerleader type but I am always open to adding new "pals".

My family moved from Minnesota to Paris when I was seven years old. The first thing we ate when we arrived were hot dogs just like you mentioned from a street vendor and coca colas, (you know, classic French cuisine). Anyway, as a kid I thought they were gross (I was told I'm getting a hot dog and you give me this)? But…

:flowerforyou: I don't know if you've had your baby yet, but I hope you teach her or him this philosophy of not demonizing food. Its not the food that makes us fat, it's our own lack of control. In today's world, we have such few real pleasures in life. Yes, food IS fuel and I appreciate that aspect of it when it aids in…

I had never seen my body gallery before. Pretty cool site. It's interesting because I put in my measurements and the pics that came up I just kept thinking "she looks great"!, but when I look in the mirror I seem to zero in on my fat bits and not look at the whole picture. Maybe I need to give myself a break?

I'm 5 ft 51/2inches tall and 49 years old. Small frame as well. I measure once a month so these measurements are from the first of January (I'm crossing my fingers for a little progress) Bust 36" Waist 30" Hips 38". I'm currently 144 pounds. So yeah, I would say you are pretty normal from the above sampling.

I don't know about the "detox" aspect, but it sounds tasty and if that gets you to drink more water then I say "do it"! I would prefer water with lemon OR cucumber OR mint, but all together might be nice? I have been sipping hot water with lemon lately now that it's cold out and I really enjoy that.

I'm sorry, but this is what I was thinking as well. When I looked at the OPs profile, I saw nothing that would indicate his spiritual beliefs, (which makes sense btw, since this is a FITNESS SITE so what's religon got to do with it)? So, the lesson here is this: don't push your religon (or lack there of) down others…

Where to start? Chicken piccata, chicken Marsala. Chicken with pesto and peas, chicken in a sun dried tomato cream sauce, baked chicken Parmesan, a simple chicken cutlet topped with an arugula salad. One of my very simple, go to dinners is to dredge chicken breast in flour and sauté. Then remove from the pan and add about…

I don't mean to sound like a ***** but this is always what I think when someone has this "problem". Do I "net" my goal everyday?, no. Sometimes I'm under and sometimes I'm over...it all evens out over the week for the most part. If you are low on calories there are plenty of tasty, calorie dense foods that can put you over…

I tried WW for 3 months and lost a total of 5 pounds. I came here a little over 3 months ago and have lost 6 pounds. But to be fair, I lost 5 of those pounds in the first 7 weeks. (I have hit a serious plateau). Anyway, I prefer MFP because: 1) calorie counting VS points is easier to wrap my mind around 2) the database has…

Coffeemate Dave's killer bread Mayo Turkey breast Arugula Vodka - I can't believe this is on my list, but the food log does not lie Chicken breast Apples Skim milk Red peppers

This is not what you want to hear and maybe I'm just tired this morning, but you've lost 5 plus pounds in just 3 weeks, so WHAT'S THE PROBLEM EXACTLY? I've been at this for over 3 months and as you can see below, I've lost and gained the same 6 pounds. Bodies are stubborn and weight loss takes time. Is it frustrating? YES!…

Hey, I was told there was gonna be porn.....and cake!

Well my husband works for a company who makes all those dreaded video games so I would like to personally thank all those gamers out there for putting my son through college. To the OP; I know this was supposed to be a "fun" lighthearted thread, but as women we too often ask questions we already know the answer to....men…
-
This. It seems to me you knew the answer when you wrote this thread. If you two were teens or early 20s, just starting out, then I'd say he might change, but he is a 30 year old adult. You owe it to yourself and your future to have a SERIOUS talk with him and if he isn't able (or willing) to have a better work ethic than…

Thank you for always cutting to the quick and giving the SMART answer. :flowerforyou:

Because we are too busy oiling each other up and having pillow fights in the secret hot chick room at the gym.

<Believe it or not, this is not an actual current picture of me, yet I have all the friends I need. Trust me OP, just post something. And please know that people will turn down PAL requests for all sorts of reasons, including not having a picture uploaded.

Please listen to the advice you are getting to seek help. What is going on with your body has NOTHING to do with a goal weight. Get HEALTHY before you even consider losing another pound. Good luck to you. I sincerely mean that. Kelly

I have nothing to add but the phrase "diet fizzy pop" sounds like something from the Wonka Factory so it made me smile. Drink up people if it makes you happy. The phrase "healthy lifestyle" also contains the word LIFE! Go live it!

I'm shocked at how many of these threads there are. I can't have married the only nice man left in the world? I'm equally as shocked as to how many of you immediately respond with "divorce him". Marriage takes work, and communication. To the OP, I am sorry you are having problems, especially this early on in your marriage.…

Whatever time you find in your schedule that you can be consistent, is the best time for you. For me, I find that working out in the morning is best. I am not a very disciplined person, so if I can check that item of the list first thing, I am more likely to keep it up as opposed to saying "I'll just do it later in the…

My drink of choice? whatcha got? :drinker: Oh, you want my pick? Tonight, probably just a grey goose and soda.

Can we STOP with the diary shame? If the OP had asked if 3 sandwhiches were bad then give your opinion. I think most of us know Nutrition 101, fruits and veg are generally "healthier" options than sandwhiches. But every time one of this questions is asked someone answers with "doesn't matter if the calories come from ice…

I agree with the poster who said that knowing how to cook is actually an asset. It's been my experience that going out to eat and takeaway foods are what get me into trouble. But when I prepare food at home it is easier to stay within my calorie goals. Also, I am a big believer in saving my calories for really good food.…

I'm afraid you are right about our man Chip. (Heavy sigh). I'm trying not to think about next year. WIN THE DAY.

Thank God I'm not the only one. Tonight's game is the match up that SHOULD have been for the whole enchilada (trying to tie in the Tostitos angle) I know, shoulda, woulda, coulda... All I know is, if this thread had been about the PAC 12 there wouldn't be 5 pages of responses. And I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the…

I don't know if you have a Trader Joes nearby, but they have some excellent real chocolate treats. Two of my favorites are the 100 calories bars (portioned controlled so that's a bonus) or the dark chocolate sea salt covered almonds....yum!!!! They also have tiny brownie bites, small cookies, mini ice cream bars. My point…
