Ok, this is gonna sound weird, but how big are the girls? This is important to determine the right level of support! :) I'm a DD and wear the champion seamless bras from Target. Since most of my workout tops also have built in shelf-bras, this has proved to be enough support for me when I run. If you are bigger, I'd…

Just keep moving. I'm in week 5, and there were weeks that were tough, but you'll pull through. Make sure you rest on rest days, and if you are out on a run and feel pooped, walk for a bit. Just cover the distance - don't worry about time. I've started incorporating walk intervals into my runs, and my times have actually…

Some people will endorse the miracle noodles - or something like that. I personally just use the Barilla Plus. There reaches a point where I'm only going to go so far, or spend so much on this endeavour....

^^ This. My sister had issues with my niece transitioning to solid food, and actually had to take her to therapy to teach her how to eat. Now, your daughter doesn't seem to be quite so extreme, but it is about control. She wants the nuggies, so she has figured out how to get them. They are MUCH smarter than we ever give…

I just put it under snack. You can add another section for supplements, but in the end, you look at your daily total - not a breakdown for each meal....

My Runkeeper app. I just started using it, and LOVE it. I can program in workouts (run 3 min, walk 1. Run 1 mile, walk .1, run .9, etc) It calls out my pace, distance etc, tracks the route if you have a GPS enabled device (iPhone here). I can look at my pace by minute when I'm done too.

I get (well, used to get) pain in my arches when I ran. I went to a podiatrist, and he diagnosed it is tendonitis. There is a tendon that runs from the outside of your heel through your arch and then attaches on the other side at the top of your foot (Peroneus longus). I was straining this tendon because of my foot shape,…

November 5th - Savannah RnR Half will be my first.... :)

Your current plan is very similar to my half training plan. You could TOTALLY do a half this year!

six weeks will be tight. My RnR half is still 8 weeks out - I have three 3 mile runs and one 7 mile run this week...

I did a 5k a few years back, and it was one of the most surreal experiences I've ever had. I'm still 'learning' how to run, so my times are never stellar. It was a brisk fall morning, and I was running with a couple of my friends. What made this run unique was the setting and the cause. A good bit of the race snaked…

Did you buy the first shoe from that store? If so, they should take them back with no issues. If you didn't, well, I hate to say it, but is it worth the pain and potential for injury to not spend the 100 bucks?

I have a Nathan belt right now, but am pretty sure it won't be enough for the half. Also, does anyone else have problems with their belts 'bouncing' when they run? So annoying, and usually ends up riding up to right under my boobs.

I just started using RunKeeper, and LOVE IT! Not only does it use the GPS in my iPhone to track my ground track, distance, pace, etc, I can customize workouts within the app. I have one now that has me run steady for three minutes, then walk one. It gives me callouts for each interval, and also tells me other things that I…

I used to. We had a contest at work and everyone had to get in 10,000 steps a day. I got an Omron one from WalMart. Worked very well while I was using it. The company had given out really cheap ones to everyone, and they didn't work well at all. People figured out that you could put it on your sock and bounce your foot,…

Eight months ago, I told my trainer that I despised running. Yes, I used the word despised. I'm running the savannah rock and roll half on Novemer 5th. If I miss a run, I am visibly sad.... It must also be snowing in hell, as it clearly froze over with the above transformation. ;)

You know what is healthy and what isn't. Disney offers some better choices, but they are still calorie laden. You are going to walk you azz off while there, so frankly, eat, enjoy, and don't fret. This is about living your life, dealing with the choices at hand, and handling them better than you did in the past.

Core and leg strength exercises. I'm a skier, so the muscles are worked a bit differently, but it is one hell of a core workout. :)

I've been running pretty consistently forth last 5-6 months. Ive run a few 5ks over the years, and a couple tris. I am now training for my first half the first weekend in Nov. I'm using a modified Hal Higdon plan. It is kind of a mix of the novice and intermediate plans, since I've never run a lot of distance. I had 13…

Your best bet is to get a HRM monitor. I'm more apt to believe MFP on this one. I burn around 600 calories in one hour doing high intensity boot camp

Now I'm thinking about rice, feathers, reams of paper, popcorn, cheesecake, JD, and BOBBLEHEADS! Gee, thanks for that.

But you're three time zones behind me. :D
