Every single day. I try to hit my 1200 calories but I typically end up hitting between 1000 and 1200. I do not eat my exercise calories back. My calories are set to 1200 exactly so if go even one calorie over then it tells me I'm over my calorie limit. I just haven't been able to hit 1200 exactly to make MFP happy yet.

Not all teens are like that. My kids do have cell phones and do text their friends but honestly they lose their cell phones and don't notice it until they can't find it to set their alarms. They really are not obsessed with them and use them for communication purposes only. Same with the internet. My dd has a FB account…

This is where you have to out think your teen. My son tried this but I went into his friends' pages and looked for him, then just to be the mom that I am I sent him a friend request. He was not happy that he got found out! Not too much longer he simply deleted his account because he couldn't outsmart us.

My kids were 14 and 15 with the rule that they have to friend both me and my husband. Their privacy settings had to be set to maximum privacy and if we said anything needed to come off their page there was no arguing it. My oldest hardly uses FB and my youngest deleted his account after I told him to remove a post I didn't…

I think it might be time for an AA meeting. If you really can't let go of this you are probably battling an addiction that you can't beat alone.

I'm right there with you. I've been doing great and the last 4 days have been rough. For me, it's simply deciding that no matter what TODAY I will get back on track and do things right. It's almost like starting all over again and finding that motivation to keep going. Good luck!

Walking, it's something that I can easily stick with for the rest of my life. It doesn't make me sore and burn me out. It costs next to nothing - a good pair of walking shoes every few months (and maybe a one time purchase of a treadmill). I've lost 14 pounds in just over a month and my only exercise has been walking.

I'm also out doing photography a lot but I don't count it. I really don't see it burning nearly enough calories to count as above and beyond.

I'm going to say try using one for several days at a gym and then try using the other for several days. The elliptical does give a better burn but after about three days on it my knees were absolutely killing me. I can do the treadmill every single day without a single problem.

I will log it as normal but if I go over on that one day I'm not going to stress about it. We don't have a big family so our Christmas's tend to be smaller and while we do prepare a nice dinner we don't go overboard with it. Our traditional Christmas dinner is lasagna, salad and garlic bread. The problem for me is turning…

I did not lose any weight by cutting out soda BUT my energy levels increased dramatically and I stopped getting sick. I hardly ever have those "I just don't feel good" days anymore. Cutting calories overall is what is making me lose weight. Of course, cutting out the calories in soda will help tremendously with that.

Thanks for posting this. I've been getting a little worried about how to handle the upcoming holidays. This had a lot of great advice.

Listening to my son's cross country coach tell a roomful of people what a great kid my ds is......and that he has a serious future as a runner. I"m so proud.

If you really want to get the point across scrape the plate into the garbage in front of them. Firmly tell them that you don't appreciate them sabotaging you and to either support you or leave. They may leave, so be prepared for that if you do this.

Yes, I have lost 12 pounds and I've been here for just about a month. First thing is to drink lots of water, then drink more. Don't use your calories on drinks, it's a waste. *For me* sticking to 1200 calories works best. This is easy to do if you choose your foods carefully. I also try really hard to keep my sodium intake…

I decided after church that today would be a cheat day since I've been doing pretty well. Then when it came down to making the choices of what to have I found that I didn't want the junk. The worst I've had today is a handful of pretzels and I have a veggie lasagna in the oven for dinner (only 292 calories per serving). I…

I bought a treadmill and I walk. No jumping around, gets my heart rate up and is something that I can stick with. Lots of people on this site have lost a lot of weight just by walking as their main form of exercise.

If it were within the U.S. I'd move out west somewhere like Wyoming. If it were anywhere in the world I'd choose either Australia or New Zealand.

It depends on lifelong habits. I grew up in a household where there was never enough food and what food there was went to my parents. The kids went without. I lived a childhood of going days on end without eating. That carried into my adulthood and I can honestly still "forget" to eat. I became overweight not because of…

Well I do eat less than 1200 calories per day and I usually am stuffed *but that's me*. I've never been a huge eater, I've just changed what I eat. By my saying I'm stuffed on 1200 calories does NOT imply that anyone who eats more is lazy or overdoing it. Everyone here needs to find what works for them. if I were to eat…

Actually, I worked at Subway years ago and we NEVER did that. Our subways were spotless and we took cleanliness and sanitation very seriously.
-
I don't know about people hating on it here but I limit Subway to only once a month or so because of the sodium. Yeah, my sandwich might only be 500 calories but it is also about 2000 mg of sodium.....and that's for a 6". The bread itself is loaded with sodium as well as the meats and the sauces. You just can't get away…

The candy is just leftover for anyone who wants it. I'll put it out for the youth group on Wednesday night, there won't be any leftovers after the teenagers get done with it. The pumpkin cheesecake was specifically given to me but I've told everyone to have some and eat it all up. I had one very tiny piece today and it was…
