just diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes
I have done every diet out there and nothing has worked (including MFP). The scale wouldn't budge no matter what so honestly I kind of gave up - but still stayed active. I switched doctors recently because the old one refused to run any tests or take my concerns seriously. New doc has found that I have T2D and that is the…

starting over after spending 8 weeks in a wheelchair.....
The last two months have been rough. On August 24th I ran my first 5K and was so on top of the world. On August 31st I fell off my horse and severely broke my leg (broken tibia, torn ligaments and tendons and a dislocated ankle). I also severely sprained the other ankle. I spent the next 6 weeks in a wheelchair, then…

So last week I ran a 5K, this week I broke my ankle.....
hmmmm......not quite the progression I wanted to make here! It was a bad break. Compound fracture which tore all the ligaments and required surgery to put it all back together again. I'm out of commission for at least 6 weeks. I also had to cancel our vacation because we were going to go hiking in the Smoky Mountains. this…

I did it! I ran my first 5K this morning.....
I started couch25K four months ago and ran my 5K this morning. I'm not going to say it was easy (cuz it wasn't!) but I ran the whole thing and sprinted across the finish line. I'm so glad I signed up for the 5K when I started the program because it kept me motivated to run when I thought about giving up. Today all that…

Looking for friends who eat 1200-1300 cals a day
Okay, everyone who thinks that's too low please don't respond here. I understand your point but it doesn't always work that way for everyone. So anyone who eats 1200-1300 please friend me. One thing to know about me though is that I'm a Christian and I don't tolerate cussing or crass talk on my feed. If you like to do that…

help! Our insurance companies computers were hacked....
ALL of our information was stolen. Everything that someone would need to steal our identities. This happened TWO MONTHS AGO and they only notified us today. I'm so livid!!!!! What do I need to do to protect ourselves?

A couple of small NSV's today......
First NSV that is important to me. For months my anniversary ring has been tight, to the point that I had stopped wearing it a lot because it was just uncomfortable. Not only can I wear my ring all the time again but I noticed today that it's loose. This is a huge victory for me. I hated not being able to wear my ring.…

There is so much leftover candy at church....ACK!
I work for a church and we hosted a Trunk or Treat on Friday night. I walked in today and there were about 4 BIG bags of candy in the kitchen. On top of that a friend brought in some pumpkin cheesecake for me to try. Oh my, this week the temptations are going to be tough to say no to.

Who would have thought
that putting together a treadmill could be so hard? Ds and dh started putting our new treadmill together around 9 PM last night. At 10:30 when dh grabbed THE HAMMER I called it quits for the night. Now I have a half put together treadmill in my living room just calling to me, pleading with me to save it from dh working on…

Are there any canned soups that aren't super high in sodium?
Grabbing a can of soup to take to work for lunch works really well. It's easy, convenient and filling but the sodium content is outrageous. Any better options?

Introducing myself.....
Hi all, I'm Shua. I was here a while back and then lost my motivation. I put all the weight back on and it brought along a few friends. So here I am starting all over again with a bit more determination to not lose the motivation. Over the weekend I had someone say something extremely mean about my weight and how I…

I need treadmill recommendations.....
Not too expensive please! This will need a long tread on it since my 6' tall son will be running on it as well - he runs a 6:50 mile so he'll be moving out. My qualification is that it has to have a reasonably quiet motor. Okay, tell me what you you recommend.
