I don't think I gave myself enough rest since my run on Saturday. Last night I did a 4.37 mile run to the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 44:24. I though I would be able to run at least half of the way back, but my legs were shot.

This has become my home away from home. Feel free to add me.

I figured I'd just add that I tried the "Boxer" workout Level 1 from the site you posted. It was fun although my repertoire of boxing moves is limited. She also has a filter on her site so if you're looking for, if say for example, you're looking for strength training workouts that focus on the upper body. This is good…

Nice information. I never heard of Neila Rey's site before. I've never seen some of these body weight only exercises; I really want to try out the towel bicep curls, and the pike shoulder press during my next workout.

Today I did a 6.67 mile loop. I finished in 1 hour 13 minutes, including about 4 walking/water breaks. This was a run with a local running club. Although I can't run this distance ye without stopping, I did learn that I can run for much longer if I take some walking breaks when needed; so this might be the key to helping…

I'm not braking any land speed records, but I'm still surprised that I can actually do this. I think the realization started the first time I ran for 5 minutes. Today I did Week 10 Day 1 of Zen Labs' 10K Trainer app. This week's runs are 3 15-minute jogging intervals with 1-minute walking breaks in between. I wasn't going…

JIm, I don't know, I don't see anything on my end. The app seems like it still needs some work. I got credited for some quests three times. I also have some quests that I didn't complete stuckv in my active quests. To be honest though, I haven't really taken the time to read the FAQ for the app, I' ve just messed around…

This is right up my alley. If anyone wants to add me, my character name is the same as on here. It kind of reminds me of the Inn of the Legend of the Green Dragon.

My goals this month 1) Get down below 190 Lbs. 2) Be able to run 10K in 60min 3) Run 5K in 25 min

Highs: I had a week off from work, I am now capable of running the equivalent of a 5K and started a 10K training program; so I'm way ahead of where I wanted to be in preparation of my 1st 5K coming up in August. Low: have to go back to work tomorrow and didn't touch any of the work I brought home with me

Hi, I'm Dave from Philadelphia, PA. I started C25K in May, and registered for a 5K in August. Once I started to see that, yes, it was possible for me to be able to jog for an extended period of time, I stopped following the program, and decided to test myself. I decided to just go as long as I could without having to stop,…

Still a way to go, but I like the increase in neck/chin separation.

The first step to starting is to get in the habit of monitoring your own behavior, which is what this site is all about. 1) If you have not done so already, set your weight loss goal, and figure out what your allotted calories are. 2) Just start logging everything you eat and all of your activity, but don't worry about…

I was able to run 3.2 miles in 30min 14sec today. I have to admit that I only went to about week 4 of the program and got impatient. Once I realized that I could run for an extended period of time if I learned to pace myself, I just wanted to see how far I could go without stopping. I did 1.25 miles the first time I tried.…

I just wanted to put in my vote for the Fitbit. I use the Zip, which isn't too expensive. You can find decent deals on new and used Fitbit Zips on eBay. I bought one new for around $40. I also just bought a used Zip for $25 (because I lost the first one) that works perfectly fine. They also seem to be well made; I've…

This is has been floating around for years, before the World Wide Web. See: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1393718/Frankfurter-diet-Thousands-duped-British-Heart-Foundation-says-fake.html

Wawa cheesesteak with extra steak, extra cheddar, bacon, mayo, avocado, and a hot dog as an appetizer.

I think it has more to do with changes in life at this age. I had success in my 30's but it was when I was recently divorced and didn't have any one else to be responsible except for myself. I could workout whenever I wanted to. If I wanted to spend a day off going to the gym followed by a 10 mile hike, no problem. Now…

Okay I have been working out but I've slacked off on logging. Let's see Monday 11/12 C25K Week 2 day 1 25 minutes (5 minute walk followed by 6 rounds of 1.5 minutes of jogging followed by 2 minutes of walking) Tuesday I did strength training Wednesday I rested. Tonight 11/15 I did Monday's workout.

2 miles today 35 minutes (10 min walk and C25K Week 1 Day 3)
-
I did 2.5 miles today 11/5

Today 11/3 I started Couch to 5K for 25 minutes (5min walking warm-up, 1min jog/1.5 min walk for 20 minutes). I guess this was about 1.75 milest. I also walked to dogs around the block this morning while "wearing" the carrier, about .43 miles or so. I am also about to take the dogs out again on the same route. So that…

I think I'll join as well. I track using the Cardio Trainer app for my Android phone (http://www.worksmartlabs.com/cardiotrainer/about.php). It tracks your time, mileage, pace, calories burned, etc. and has a GPS tracker that maps your route. I also use http://www.mappedometer.com/ to plan my routes ahead of time, or…

I look at it this way: it's about your pattern of behavior over the long term. For example, if you have a "bad eating day," after sticking to my diet plan for 2 weeks, I need to think about that as 14 out of 15 days that were "good eating days." I think that part of it is being able to admit to myself that not only did I…
