Thank you! I'm adjusting to being unemployed and sleeping until noon every day, haha. My boyfriend is so insanely supportive it's ridiculous... It's nice to give my yellow lab the 3 walks a day he deserves.

Gotcha...I feel like after logging for 230+ days you get a good idea of how to estimate though. I'll be picking up a food scale.

Just because I've been logging for so long with absolutely no movement on the scale, I'm going to assume that 1680, for me, is maintenance. Perhaps I should lower it.

Calorie counting is so frustrating when people are pulling you in all different directions...Never eat less than 1200, never eat less than 1600, never eat more than 2000 calories a day....gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I have the FitBit One and I personally think it way overestimates calories..but who knows.

I never said anything about "real food" I just said I eat "food" meaning I eat well above 1200 calories per day.

Sodium is a big one for me. It's in everything! I have such a hard time avoiding it. Will start to watch that though. When I started on this site I ate 1200 calories per day for 3 months and didn't lose anything, so I bumped it up as so many people suggest on MFP. Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I was let go from my job and was a tad preoccupied with...that. Those 2 or 3 days were the only time I have not logged in over 230 days.

MFP has such a huge database...I usually just search whatever the food is and pick the most reasonable one.

I would help her figure out her BMI and what not and show her she's actually probably underweight. Probably won't help this weird fad go away but might help her feel skinny.

I eat whatever I want and drink a lot of beer. I'm 21 so in theory this should work...but it's not. Over 210 days logged and only about 8 lbs lost. BUT 8lbs lost is better than 8lbs gained....

I have the FitBit One and I can tell you nothing will beat FitBit's customer service. They are absolutely amazing. They offered to replace my $100 device when I thought I lost it, no questions asked (I found it so told them not to bother).

Today is my 200th day of logging. I can't imagine NOT logging anymore...it's become such a habit for me.

I used to, but only when I would actually be sweating from it. Now I don't really log anything because my FitBit adjusts it for me.

I've been running for about 4 months on and off. The weather has been disgusting so it's been sporadic. I downloaded the Zombies, Run! 5K app on my Android, it makes it more like a game and less like exercise. My advice - load up the iPod with a tonne of great music and start slow...15 second run, 1 minute walk - 10 times.…
