When I wear my HRM I'm at about 300 calories burned for 50min.

I ride a recumbent bike on weekends and when I finally got a HRM I discovered that the bike was WAY overestimating calories burned. By A LOT! If you want to know accuracy then you need a HRM. I bought the Polar FT4 and love it.

I noticed at 10lbs, but others' didn't until about 20lbs. And it's only gotten better as I would trade in my baggy clothes for better fitting ones and people were amazed!

I've done both and some other JM dvd's. I started with 30DS then moved to RI30. I liked RI30, I found it slightly more advanced, but really, they are both good. You can try 30DS free on youtube, RI30 you would have to buy.

You can do it! I am only on week 2 and I am feeling soreness that I never had with any of my JM dvd's. I can't keep up with them but keep pushing myself. Gettign stronger every day!

I've done 30DS, RI30, Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and really loved them!!! I kinda liked Extreme Shred & Shred and Killer Buns & Thighs. Not a huge fan of 6 week 6 pack or No More Trouble zones, but many people are.

Agree with the others. I just started on Monday and knee push ups were all I've ever done, but I'm going to keep trying till one day I get it! I already feel stronger and I've done 3 JM DVDs, this one is torture, but wonderful!

I've done both and loved both! Did 30DS first then RI30. Yes, RI30 is a bit harder, I probably got equal results with them, but very glad I started with 30DS first.

I started yesterday as well. Holy Cow the fit test is insane!! I've been doing JM for months, but nothing compared to that. I am nervous to actually start a real dvd tonight. I hope it's not as intense as the fit test!

After 30DS I did RI30, same thing as 30DS, just more intense. I loved it! I then went on to to BFBM and ES&S. I am thinking of starting Insanity tomorrow.

I don't usually eat back my exercise calories, especially not if I feel full. There have been times where I do still feel hungry and I will eat something small, but this doesn't happen often and I don't feel guilty about it b/c I I did burn all those extra cals.

No, but on the occasion that I am having a 'hungry' day I don't feel too guilty.

I borrowed it from the library, but have yet to try it, and it's now overdue. oops! i should really try it. I've loved pretty much all the JM dvd's so far.

As people have already mentioned, there are a lot of factors that can go into it. I am not quite at 4 months and am down 50lbs today! But I have been working hard and really sticking with my calories. I would think that aiming for 6lbs a month is very doable and if you have a bigger loss then great!!

I want to lost 2lbs per week and initially set my exercise at nothing. MFP set my calories at 1340. After I lost 10lbs. it recalculated and I was at 1200. When I had lost some more I changed my info to exercise 6 days a week and my cals went up to 1280.

I think I have to agree with this. I did 30DS in December and saw some great results. I started RI30 this January and just started level 4 yesterday. it's hard to tell, since i really saw a difference doing the 30DS. My arms are starting to look fab and I can really feel it in my legs. I'm down 2 pants sizes so it clearly is working!!

I just started Day 1 Level 3 yesterday. So far I am really enjoying it, especially after completing 30DS. Level 3 was great, really worked hard and certainly the hardest level yet, can't wait for level 4, maybe not, lol!

just counting my calories. I started off just walking 30 min during my lunch break, then i added to bike riding (recumbent). I then decided to do 30DS in Dec and am now doing RI30 for Jan. But nothing special, just diet and some exercise.

and I do want to add that I add what I eat into my daily calories, so I'm still within my daily calories, it's just not my first choice of food

I really like your thinking! In the trash or on my hips. I will have to remember this next time. And I do make small portions, they are just so picky, sometimes it's 1 bite then refusing to eat. It's even day to day what they like one day they won't the next, lol!

lol! i wish i had a dog to eat what is on the floor. i swear half their meals end up on the floor, at least my 1yo.
