Looks like I'm very late to this party, but I'm checking in from Kirkland, WA.

I've heard wonders about "Smooth Move" tea. Not sure if you can get it where you live, here in the States it's sold right in the grocery store.

Thank you! Great advice, and I'll read the link.

I work night shift too. The key for me is planning ahead, and packing all my food-both meals and snacks. I work 7pm-7:30am. I eat what I track as "lunch" prior to leaving for work, around 5pm. I bring a snack I usually eat around 9pm, then eat "dinner" around midnight or 1am. I pack breakfast as well, which I eat around…

Wow, you look amazing! Great work :)

Wow, great job! You must feel so wonderful :)

Wow, way to go! Must feel great :)

Mine is to compete in a sprint (short distance) triathlon next summer.

My next mini goal is to hit lower than 200lbs by the 1st of January, which will be my one year anniversary of my health transformation. My ultimate goal is somewhere in the 140-150 range, haven't quite decided yet where I'll land. To do it, I'm going to keep doing what I have been doing. Eating sensibly, exercising 4-5…

5'4", 219lbs. just bought a pair of size 16 Old Navy jeans yesterday. A bit tight, but they zip! My most comfortable jeans are Levi's in a size 18.

19.2 to go to hit my goal of under 200 by Jan 1, so yes I am in!!!
-
I use Runkeeper, my jawbone UP, and the MFP exercise data base. I take the average of all 3 for my calorie burn. They are all usually pretty close anyway, within 50 or so calories of each other.
-
NOTHING!!! I eat anything I want, in moderation. As long as I don't go over my base calories + my exercise calories per day I'm A-OK with it.

Coffee & tea (plain), sugar free gum, spices. I log everything else! I was wondering about my gummy multi vitamins though...

I make scrambles with 1 whole egg and 2 whites. Not because of worrying about calories or cholesterol, but because it makes the eggs nice and fluffy. It's all a matter of taste!

Down 57 lbs since January! I'm already looking for a hot red dress to ring in the New Year in, hoping to be down 80lbs by then!
-
A couple times a week I scramble one whole egg with 2 egg whites. I like the flavor from the yolk, but adding just a couple extra whites makes them extra fluffy. I add whatever veggies I've got around, and a little parmesan or romano cheese.
-
Thanks everybody! I'll give a few of these a try.
-
Yum, those sound like great flavors. Where can you buy it?
-
Wow, sounds delicious! I'm adding this stuff to my grocery list and will give a try.

I'm hoping to start 2014 at under 200lbs, which will be 80lbs lost for me over this year. As of this morning I have 23.1 lbs to go to hit that goal, so I think it is do-able!

I work hard to plan my meals in advance as often as I can. One of the biggest positive changes I've made for myself is packing lunch and snacks for work. It keeps me away from the stuff in the cafeteria! I plan for plenty of protein to keep me full, several servings of fruits and veggies, and some complex carbs each day.
-
I'd say it may be doable, but tough. 30lbs divided by 20 weeks in those 5 months = 1.5 lbs/week to lose. Most will say a healthy rate of loss is 1-2 lbs/week. However, you don't have THAT much to lose, and I believe when you are closer to goal the weight may come off a bit slower. Goals tied to time can trip some people…

Thanks everyone for your advice! I'm training towards a mini triathlon next summer, so the gym is necessary for the swimming & treadmill through the bad weather months, the weights are a bonus that I know will help me over time! I'll check out the resources you pointed me to, I appreciate it!

I just had my 2nd Mirena IUD placed. I love it. NO periods, NO cramps, NO pregnancy. I've lost 53 lbs since January, so it doesn't seem to be causing problems with weight gain or difficulty with losing it.

http://www.skinnytaste.com/2012/11/sweet-potato-turkey-shepards-pie.html One of my favorites. Makes six servings. I bought some small glass containers that can be cooked in, then can go right in to the fridge for storage (they come with lids), then pop in to the microwave at work to re-heat. 16.5g protein, 250cals each,…

Love the sound of those books-I just added them to my library hold list. Thanks for the encouragement!

Wow, what a great resource! Thank you :)

I've had my UP for 2 months now and I love it. Very good data, and motivating. Plugging it in to your phone for uploads is no big deal, takes only seconds. Plus, since it isn't constantly communicating via Bluetooth the battery lasts longer. I think its a cute bracelet too, and have had many people compliment me on it.
