When you have your tummy tuck they'll have you wear a post op garment called a faja for several months post op. These are industrial strength compression garments. You could give one a try now, they're available in a range of sizes and styles on Amazon.

As an RN working in an addictions program, I can agree with you to some extent. I believe that I also have a food addiction that I have to work to overcome every single day. However, it some ways this addiction is worse. My patients with opiate use disorder (aka heroin or other opioid addiction), when successful, are able…

I’ve lost 137 lbs. I had a tummy tuck, arm lift, and breast lift in January. I’m so glad I did! There’s pain for sure, but I’m so glad I did it. Ask me anything :)

quote="MissMarie140;c-45698631"]Hi! I'm in the process of losing 170 pounds. So far I'm down 31 pounds. That took me a year though. I joined today hoping to start tracking my food so I can speed this up. I need more accuracy and accountability. Add me! And anyone else looking for support 🙂🙂[/quote] Welcome! I’ve been using…

I went to Miami, which is the hot bed of plastic surgery in the US. I paid $16,100. This was FAR less than my quotes in Seattle which ranged from $30,000-$40,000. Even after paying for flights, a rental car, and an AirBnB I came out way ahead. There are “chop shop” clinics in Miami that you can get it done for even less,…

I started at 286, now down to 160. My doc set my goal at 155, but I might want to go down to 145. It started in November of 2018. Just rewarded myself for my efforts with a tummy tuck & arm lift :)

I’m 5’3.5”. My starting weight was 286 in November of 2018. I’m now 160. My doctor has said a good goal for me is 155, which will be a BMI of 27. I’m happy with this, and feel like it will be livable long term.

Starting weight 286 current weight 160

I’m 50, started out with 130+ lbs to lose. I’m down 106, 24 to go to goal. I already feel so much healthier, and I imagine will feel even better once I reach my goal!

Looks like I’m a very late entry to this thread, but it’s just the motivation I need to push to the finish! About me: Name: Kristie Age:50 SW:286 CW:179.6 GW: 150-155 I’m planning (I stopped saying “hoping” as I truly believe this is all in my control) to reach my goal by the first of the year. Then consulting with plastic…

I've lost 101 lbs so far, 25 to go to goal. It's tough, but do able! I felt like setting smaller goals along the way kept me motivated instead of just focusing on my big goal. Right now the small goal I'm working on is increasing my step count day by day, week by week. I also have re-dedicated myself to tracking every…

Starbucks tall nitro cold brew. I have them put it in a venti cup then dump in my premier protein shake. Breakfast perfection!

I have the same problem! Can you share what brands you've found that work? I hate that my waistbands are so loose while my hips & thighs are still fitted.

Awesome job! I'm your neighbor to the south in Seattle. We travel to your area and Whistler frequently. It trul is one of the most beautiful areas I've ever seen.

Don't eat it! Eat when you're hungry. As long as you're in a deficit at the end of the day it won't affect your losses.

Go to your local Planned Parenthood. Despite what the fear mongers say, they provide a whole array of health services, on a sliding scale or even for free if you're very low income.

Yes, it counts both exercise calories as well as the calories that you burn while at rest.

Wow-great analogy! Thank you for sharing.

Well that comment has me thoroughly confused!

I agree with what's been said here. I'll add, start making changes slowly. Pick a goal, work on it until it feelings comfortable, then add another. For example, this week start using a scale to weigh your food, commit to logging everything. Once you've got that down start working on making a healthy change or two here and…

My starting BMI was 47 in February of this year. I'm now down to 42. I started walking slowwllly (20 minute mile). This week I did a 5 mile walk with an average speed of 14.5 min/mile. Cardio endurance builds up quickly!

I eat some back, never all. From all I've read exercise burns are often way overestimated. Try eating half back for a couple weeks. If you're still losing at an ok rate, you know you're ok. If you maintain or gain, cut back to eating a third or a quarter of them.
-
I started out by challenging myself to take 100 more steps each day. I use a fitbit and find it very motivating. My first couple weeks I was only getting in 3000-4000 steps each day. Now I'm up to an average of 12,000 a day, and once a week I get closer to 20,000.

Awesomeness :)

The San Juan Islands in Washington State are gorgeous. It's a short ferry ride from the Seattle area. Come late summer to early fall for the best weather. There's great hiking, camping, and kayaking plus quirky little shops in the towns on the islands.

Mm mm...cheese! Beecher's Flagship and Cougar Gold aged white cheddar are my favorites. I'll never give them up! However, I weigh my portions and eat it in moderation.

Mines open, add me :)

Wow-some harsh words here. I'm assuming we are all here due to struggling with weight or health. I think OP's issue is a common one, I've certainly faced the same and I've appreciated good advice from others here about strategies, especially when I first moved from an active job to a sedentary one. Let's be supportive of…
