I've seen some bad information on strength training on this site, but THIS by far is the worst, most uneducated by far. Pretty much do the opposite of everything written here.

Q: Can you do anything to target weight in a specific area of your body. A: No Lose weight overall is the only way, sorry.

Comparing weight to weight yes, not when comparing volume

disagree, if you want to increase muscle mass then you need to lift heavy, enough that you can't make it to the 9th rep with good form. Try do ” heavy lifting” on it's own or at least before cardio. You need 100% energy and concentration to lift correctly and avoid injury.

Some questions require honest answers, it's not harsh, it's reality. can't make time, how can anyone else do it for you? don't exercise, don't eat well, it's all up to the individual.

Protein shake pancakes, bars, jell-o, etc...! tasty! http://liftforlife.com/content/bodybuilding-fitness-diet-health-articles/diet-articles/349-protein-powder-its-for-more-than-just-shakes

I'll probably get into trouble, but I like to split cardio and weights to totally separate days. Less time in the gym and I get to focus on one aspect a lot more without worrying about whether or not I will have energy for the next exercise.

So, basically you are saying what most people have already been trying to argue, that "traditional" breakfast can be skipped. The first meal that is eaten is breakfast regardless of when it is eaten. Therefore, by what you are saying, it is impossible to actually skip breakfast unless you stop eating and never start again.…

Chinups, pullups, pushups. Easy to master the form, all highly effective.

I wish that someone would strap C4 to the Smith machines at my gym
-

6.99 is not such a big loss. better than spending it on a big mac
-
I'll ask the experts at the gym today, they usually hang around the smith machines
-
I guess my only advice on that is to make sure that it is sustainable. Can you keep up with that routine long term, see this as a lifestyle
-
there's no rule that you have to do everything in a week. I workout on a 9 day cycle, works for me.
-
speaking of poop, I'm interested in the reasoning behind bowel movement AFTER breakfast. I do in fact go once a day, very regularly about 3 hours after waking up. How is this not a good thing?
-
enjoy, I have my stop watch on so I know exactly when you'll be pooping :)
-
aah, it's the cardio of pooping, got it now. I'm sure it has something to do with stoking a "fire" of sorts.
-
again, can you provide any scientific information about "metabolism burning" or is this just something discussed around the squat rack? My metabolism has never fallen asleep in 32 years, guaranteed.
-
And my job is to question what you have to say. You didn't answer my question. As for "pooping", please clarify WHY this has anything to do with the subject. Are you saying that one should poop after every meal (6 times I presume based on your enlightened information)

Baked beans are going to be higher in carbs than protein, sugar or not. Just so that the OP is aware.
-
lol, lot's of small trips to the gas station to make sure your car's engine stays burning

thanks for the information, and I think that it all applies on extended fasts. But extending the fast by 4 hours for instance? My personal experience is that skipping breakfast is fine for me, I do not feel tipsy, groggy, tired, lethargic, cranky or otherwise. Works for me.
