Why should you eat before HIIT? Did my regular 20 mins today on an 18 hour fast, felt great!

you want to pick up muscle mass. The weights will not reduce fat in any one area.

kettlebells bruise, not much you can do about it. even with the best form, the weight should be hitting your forearms to some degree. There's a reason most seasoned kettlebell'ers use forearm guards. have you had instruction on kettlebell use? the techniques can be very complicated.

I don't think she was being rude at all. It was sound advice to discuss things like bruises out of nowhere with your doctor. Having said that, in 16 years of lifting, I have never had a bruise unless I have bumped a knee against a weight rack or something. Hands can get sore and get the "bruise" type of pain, but that's…

I would go to a class where the instructor is certified (IKFF). There's too many fitness instructors throwing these into group classes and potentially hurting their clients because they've watched a youtube video on how to perform the exercises. The movements can get VERY sophisticated and need fine tuning to avoid injury.

totally depends on your workout. Some of my "heavy" workouts require 2 min rests, but that's when I'm doing 2-4 reps of almost max weight. When I'm on a week off heavy weights I'll typically do 15-20 second rests with 8-10 reps.

It has very little to do with actual time and a lot to do with intensity. But as soon as someone sstarts talking minutes, they are no longer at high intensity.

tell that to my biceps :) may as well not go to the gym if you want true "function"

put a spinning bike up to 80% level and pedal as fast as you can...tell me if your heart rate goes way up or not.

Is a gym not an option?
-
A nap? I hope this is sarcasm, lol.
-
it's not really a circuit area then if there's no timer. Etiquette at gym (unwritten) states that if you are using a machine, it's yours, within reason. Don't spend 25 mins hogging a machine, but jump around as much as you need. Just keep the machines clean :)

Based on your replies already it sounds like you should really get some personal instruction before diving into exercises like squats and deadlifts, they are incredibly complicated.

Try stomach vacuums. Easy exercise to do anywhere. They don't reduce fat but they do help to hold evrything in

Got a free 30 day supply a few months back with one of my big orders. Didn't notice anything good or bad.

Why should men give up their seats for women? Give up seats for the elderly, sick etc... anyone that can't stand well. Don't make yourself the weaker sex. By the way, before you destroy me, I open doors, including car doors for my wife. I let her walk through doors before me, I walk down stairs before her...I know all…
woops - forgot to type -- I think you can say that about herbal tea, but caffeinated tea, like coffee, is actually dehydrating...you still need water over and above the caffeine you've been drinking.
please cite some scientific evidence for this. Or wait..it's just opinion isn't it?

cardio(vascular) has benefits as well over and above weight loss, not a bad idea incorporating it regardless..keep the ticker going..

nothing to talk about? move on?
-
this isn't fun if everyone is already expecting an argument..what a let down besides, how could I possibly contradict myself on this thread
-
really? pH is between 4 and 5 undiluted. Your stomach is closer to a pH of 2. What part of your "insides" is this going to be destroying? e.g. wine and beer have a lower pH than ACV.
-
Tea contains less than 70mg of caffeine, often WAY less. You need to exceed 500-700mg of caffeine for it to have a diuretic effect. So tea and coffee essentially have the same diuretic effect as water itself. Carry on with the tea. Just don't overload with sugar (nothing to do with the liquid, just hidden calories)
-
Tea contains water doesn't it? Drink more tea..no problems. It counts!

Who pays? In the US the company pays, but doesn't have to, for either men or women. I get 3 days paternity, paid, as per company policy.
-
luckily I work from home, so I have more time than most fathers to bond with my 2 girls. I do think it's necessary to allow this, but who pays for it? The private company, higher taxes as in europe? The US already allows time off as per FMLA, but it's unpaid.
