Is that a professional opinion?
-
Of course not, I'm guessing you changed caloric intake and not just eating times? Couple that with your exercise and you have the answer to your weightloss, not the fact that you don't eat just before bed time.
-
My money is on the exercise being the trick.
-
Why?
-
Eat whenever you want. Its a myth that eating after a certain time causes fat gain.
-
Weekly calories MUST stay normal. Fasting is not starvation.
-
Lol, 250 calorie snack packs. Lets stop with all the logic on this thread now!
-
Per serving?
-
After hunting, 5-6 small meals a day to speed up their metabolism. :)
-
If only our ancestors (of millions of years) knew this. They might have reconsidered that whole hunter-gatherer thing.
-
Juice fast? That's not fasting, that's consuming a liquid diet. Insulin spike? You know what else causes a spike? Exercise. Quit that right away! Starvation mode? Google urban legends. And remember above all, your best bet for accurate nutrition advice is found hanging around the Smith machines.
-
It's over hyped because 90% of the people who think they are doing HIIT are simply doing intervals.
-
+1 for leangains. Suits my lifestyle perfectly.
-
I would classify body builders as the exception. Extreme gains and extreme losses, AND rarely natural at that.
-
Surely synergistic muscles would apply to new lifters primarily with rapid gains in strength but at the same time be subject to increase in size as strength increases? At its most basic, any muscle fiber needs increased size to perform extra work?
-
You're talking pure weight. BF % can be lowered while building muscle.
-
Your body conatins the organs and chemical processes needed to cleanse and detox. It doesn't need help.
-
Explain increase in lifts? Again, calorie surplus on lift days, deficit on rest, cardio days.
-
Why not? I'm doing that right now. 5% down BF and increased strength on all lifts. Absolutely possible. The the OP, caloric surplus on lifting days, deficit on non lifting days. Good luck.
-
Definitely nowhere close to 600 at that pace. Stick with the bike.
-
This all sounds like interval training, which, don't get me wrong is a great way to train. But, pushing at a true Max you will not make 1 minute and fail at more like 15 seconds.

No to smith machine! Racks are fine for any level. I would trust them before a spotter anyway for squats. My only real spotter need is for bench (maybe overhead press) and its perfectly acceptable to ask anyone around you for a spot. You'll often find that the person you ask was too shy as well and might ask for a spot in…

Unless you are in a lab and gas analysis is being performed then the method is innacurate. Personally I feel that BMR calculators are the way to go when compared to subscription based external devices.
-
they're not designed for that, it's very unlikely that you will get any kind of accurate calorie burn.
-
1lbs of muscle = 1lbs of fat. Muscle is, however, denser.
-
Depends. Some people view a cheat day as an excuse to go full out and eat everything in sight. Thia does not work. Having a small indulgence that you normally would not have is more manageable.
-
What are you doing to burn 900?
-
Don't add, its cheating :)
-
That will go away after a few workouts. Can you share your plan, you might get some specific help on that. I'm already skeptical with 30 mins before weights.

Those drinks are expensive, have a protein shake or eat some protein and drink a lot of water
