  • Not sure if this is what you mean by on your wrist, but I have read great things about this HRM that is an arm band, not a chest strap: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JQHTJS2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  • I second the Eat Smart Precision Premium scale. I have this scale, and it seems to be very accurate. I can weigh myself multiple times in a row and get the same reading every time. The company also gets rave reviews for customer service. Another great feature is that it has a very low profile. A door can easily open and…
  • You look thinner, younger, and A LOT happier! Great work!
  • Wow! That's awesome, and definitely encouraging! Thanks for sharing! (I'll have to lose a lot of inhibition before I'm brave enough to post pictures of my body in nothing but shorts and bra!)
  • I'm a stay-at-home mom currently homeschooling five kids aged 6-14. I'm new here, too. Feel free to friend me!
  • You can add me as a friend. I'm new, too. Five pregnancies have not done my body good. :)
  • How are you making your yogurt? I wonder if mine is the same as yours. I take 1 gal. milk (1% is what I have been using lately), heat it to 180 degrees in a crock pot, then let it cool to 105-110 degrees. I scoop out a cup of the milk and whisk in 6 oz. of Greek yogurt. Then I wrap it all up in towels and put it in the…
  • Thanks, jsd! That's helpful!
  • I don't actually purchase whey powder. I use the whey in my bread baking simply because I can't stand to throw it away, and it makes awesome bread. What I'm really wondering is whether my homemade yogurt has a higher concentration of protein after it is strained like store-bought Greek yogurt. If so, I just find the fact…
  • Can you post your recipe/instructions? I am too cheap <ahem> frugal to buy my yogurt. I recently picked up a dozen gallons of milk for 50 cents each because they were expiring that day. I took them home and threw them in the freezer--they are my future yogurt!
  • No problem. Those things don't get communicated over the internet. I shouldn't expect they would.
  • Okay, I was being a bit facetious. My real question was whether I need to be weighing my food, as I eat very little pre-packaged food and I keep running into weights for the food I am eating.
  • Okay, thanks everyone! I'll head over to Amazon and look for a good (meaning accurate) scale. Any suggestions? I also need a good scale to weigh myself. For the past 20 years or so I have made it my practice NOT to weigh myself so as not to be obsessed with weight as my family was when I was growing up. As I am approaching…
  • I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to posting to the forum. Sorry. This is what I read and found helpful. I hope I've posted correctly this time.
  • I just read this. Thanks! It was helpful.
