Agree with this. I was using portion control, but losing nothing. Went low carb, weight came off. But that's just ME. Some benefit from lowering carbs, others don't. Basically got to find what works for your unique situation.

When it comes to keto, it's not necessary to hit your fat macros. It's a limit more than anything. Keep the carbs low, keep the protein in the middle and fill the rest with fat. There's not much to it, though it can be a challenge to get used to.

It's an issue if you're eating more than you're burning. You need to log and be consistent.

I wash mine twice a week because I dye my hair crazy colors, so the less I wash it, the longer the color lasts.

Been keto-ing for three years now. Feel free to add.

So it's not just me. Good to know. lol

Stalls can and do happen. My advice is to either keep doing what you're doing, or try omitting something. Some people can get through a stall by eliminating dairy, while others can do it through temporarily upping calories, then restricting again. Are you measuring your food with a food scale? Are you getting enough water?…

I used to do it, but prefer to eat my calories rather than drink them. But to each their own.

OP, look up keto or paleo, readjust your macros to whichever suits you and grab some almonds! They're great, but measure out an ounce in a bag to avoid over-endulging.
-
I like them, but like Pure Protein Plus bars better. Would prefer to make my own though. Probably cheaper in the long-run

OP it is possible to be vegetarian and keto. If you're allowed eggs and tuna, then load up on that for protein. There's also tofu, tofurkey and spam. Or just get protein powder. Load up on green veggies like spinach and broccoli, arugula and don't forget to add the fats like cream, whole milk cheeses and yogurts. It can be…

It is possible. You just replace the meats with things like tofu or soy products. I did a small stint with vegetarian keto. Basically just used tofu/tofurkey in place of meats and doubled up on eggs. I was able to still have tuna, so that helped a bit, as well as spam. Would I ever do it again? Nah. I loves my chicken far…

Unless you have actual proof of your claims, please keep your opinions to yourself. Been on keto for nearly three years now. Not dead yet. Healthy now than I ever was eating a high carb and low fat diet, and it's the only WOE that has helped me maintain a healthy weight. It's not the be-all-end-all of weight loss, but it's…

If you're not already in it, there's a low carb group here that's pretty popular. Been low carbing for two years now. I did indulge a little during the holidays, but I'm back on track. Link to group http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/394-low-carber-daily-forum-the-lcd-group

Depends on your eating plan. If you're low carb, eat foods with plenty of fiber, fat and protein and less carbs. If not, then figure out what ratios work for you. I personally eat low carb, so I mainly focus on high fat and moderate protein, while keeping carbs as low as I can.

I'm still around. Life outside of cyberspace has me a wee bit busy. Gotta love retail tiring you the hell out on a daily basis.

Been on keto two years now. Close to goal weight now. Feel free to add me.

Keto works in this way. MEET your protein goal, LIMIT your carbs and fill the rest with fat. You don't have to reach your fat goal really. I rarely do and I'm doing just fine.

Make sure your electrolytes are stable. Keep track of sodium, potassium and magnesium. Make sure you get plenty of water, and then drink some more! Also, be prepared for your workouts to suffer a little bit as you become keto-adapted, but once you are adapted you can workout as normal.

It can IF you do a bulk and cut cycle.

Bread and pasta. Don't miss them either. I make my own low carb bread and I like shiritaki noodles.
-
I ate them in the beginning. It's basically low carb candy, only you have to keep it in the freezer. They're not a requirement really, but if you look them up on pinterest or google, you can find many recipes.

Been low carbing for two years. Helped budge 20 lbs that weren't moving the way I used to eat and I have yet to put them back on. My foods are awesome and diverse and I love experimenting with new ways to make things. Last night I made chinese food. Miserable, I am not. At least not over what I'm eating.

You have an interesting habit of coming on low carb topics and trying to dissuade others from doing it. What's your issue?
-
Do the modified movement. As you keep doing it, you'll find that you may not need to hold onto your thighs as much. I love doing the roll-up, even if I end up halfway up my mat afterwards. lol

Are you weighing your food on a food scale? Low carb or not, it's very easy to overeat if you're not properly measuring your food. Cups/spoons are not very reliable. Are you drinking enough water. I also do low carb and find that if my water intake is poor, I don't lose weight. Is it around your special lady time? Weight…
