That's not what I meant exactly... getting motivated to go to the gym isn't the issue. it's the actual exercise part. but I guess I see where you're going with that? Thanks!

Yeah I'm sure you're right. Why are smaller amounts of weight so difficult to lose?? I guess I'm just impatient :) Thanks!

Lost three lbs first week and a half or so then bumped up exercise and weight loss stalled entirely... would like to lose ten more (ideally, fifteen more.)

By attack do you mean intense cardio?

Measurements is a good idea, I haven't done that yet. My clothes don't feel any different. It's been about three weeks. Too soon maybe?

Yes, I'm keeping close track of calories but I don't eat my exercise calories back every time I work out. Sometimes if I'm especially hungry that day I'll eat a little extra but I really think MPF overestimates calories burned so I don't really chance it.

I am a college student on a VERY fixed income and YES it is possible- with creativity and planning! My tips: 1. Buy a slow cooker! Major hassle-saver... I make tons of easy meals with my slow cooker and totally inexpensive to boot. You can throw in chicken and salsa and frozen veggies and eat for a week. Lots and lots of…

I drink coffee every morning and it's such an important part of my day! I leave myself at least a half-hour to sit quietly with my coffee and read blogs or the news. It's relaxing. I have tried many combos to make my coffee yummy without a lot of calories. Lately, I've been doing a tsp of unsweetened cocoa powder…

If you have a Trader Joes, go pick up some of their Reduced Sugar Fruit Preserves (no artificial sweeteners). I add about a tbsp to Greek yogurt and it's perfect. I like strawberry and raspberry but they have others too!

Sorry I just noticed you said "not high in fat" -- oops. You could try baked + smoked tofu? I think it's a Trader Joes. Yummy in omelettes too.

My fave sandwich lately has been avocado, sprouts, tomato slices and a smear of cream cheese (usually chive + onion flavor) or sometimes a good goat cheese with herbs. The cheese really makes it delish so don't buy something plain.

I don't think it's a big deal at all. I have a tall glass of water and a mug of coffee in the morning, and eat my lunch on the bus to university around 1120. Once I eat I'm pretty hungry all afternoon but I snack on raw almonds, apples, or smoothies sometimes. I also tend to have a pretty big satisfying dinner. This…

Have a tall glass of water before every meal... seriously this helps me so much. (Also have one when you first wake up, it feels sooo good)

Well, now you have, kiddo! :)

Thank you! I think that's what I was doing wrong- when they started boiling I would take them off the heat.

exactly^ thank you.

I know this might be a bonehead question, but isn't SLEEPING intermittent fasting? I have been having my last meal around 7pm, and I don't eat anything the rest of the night- wake up around 7, have my protein shake around 9:30... Boom, I fasted for 14.5 hours.

I am a poor college student and (mostly) vegetarian so I understand your plight! My easy go-to meals as of late are: roasted sweet potatoes with a wedge of goat cheese (easy to roast a bunch of these on a Sunday); I often eat these with some braised lentils on the side (dried or cooked lentils sauteed with carrot and onion…
