Hi everyone, my name is Mia, and I am a soon-to-be college graduate trying to get myself together before finally jumping into the real world. Even though I'm not overweight, I have not been looking my best since 2006, when I moved to the US and gained 37 pounds. I've already lost 15 lbs and hope to shed the rest by this…

Hey everyone, I am hoping to lose about 20 lbs by the summer. Here are my stats: Beginning weight: 155.5 CW: 146.5 GW: 125.0 And here is a before pic:

This is a great result! How much did you lose?
-
This is great, congratulations!

Ok, so I know that the entire point of MFP is counting calories, but maybe this is not the right approach for you. Personally, I've found that counting calories just makes me obsessed with food and always ends up with me going on a major binge. Have you tried eating 100% clean? This has worked for me once, and seems to be…

Hey, I'm not the big fan of discussing my weightloss with my friends either. Every time I put my commitment out there, I've ended up failing, so this time around I've decided to keep it to myself (well, except from sharing on MFP).
-
Hey, I a newly active MFP user and would like to expand my circle of friends for additional motivation (gotta lose those last 20 pounds). Feel free to add me.

I like to work out to something epic, such as Muse, Queen, or Journey. My favorite one for running is "Knights of Cydonia".

I've started 30 Day Shred on March 1st. Here are my stats: Height: 5'8'' Weight: 146.5 GW: 125 Did not take any measurements And this is my before shot:

Just finished day 4 or the level 3. I am not impressed with my performance today at all. I felt very dizzy and had to constantly pause to catch a breath – even on the exercises that are usually a piece of cake for me. I think this might be a result of yesterday’s fast, which consisted of not consuming any food between 6pm…
-
I have just woken up and ready to start day 4 of the Level 1. My muscles are much less sore today, so, hopefully, I can stop half-assign at least some of the exercises.
-
This is day 3 for me as well, and my arms are killing me!

I think the best way to find out is by experimenting: Track your weight for a couple of weeks and adjust your food consumption based on the numbers you see. If you continue losing weight, increase your calorie intake. If you're gaining weight, consider how your clothes are fitting first. If there is no change, don't worry.…

I think that since you did not have dinner, you should log it in as such.

If we're talking about looks, I have a very nice butt and gorgeous hair :)
-
This is very interesting! I haven't considered sleep/weight/hunger connection before, but now that I've read this, I do think that since beginning to go to bed earlier a couple of weeks ago, I feel less hungry and hardly have any cravings.

This was my problem for many years because I saw positive lifestyle changes as no more than means to an end. As soon as I dropped around 10 pounds, I thought that I could take it a bit easier and eventually gained all the weight back. I am currently working on changing this mentality. Maybe the same is true for you as well.

I set my goal at the lowest healthy BMI (the only weight at which my legs look more or less presentable), but I am willing to rethink it if I find that I look great at a higher weight due to some a muscle gain.
-
This sounds exactly like what I've been going through! I've been skinny my entire life and gained 37 pounds since moving to the United States. I've been trying to lose this weight for 6 years, but every diet I started ended in a prolonged binge. Right now is longest I've been able to stay healthy, and this is a result of…

I am 5'8'' and currently weight 146.5 lbs. Most of my weight is in my legs however, so I end up weiring small tops and larger pants. Here is how it looks now Here is how it looks when I am in my ideal weight 125 lbs (6 years ago)

As promised, here's my first progress shot. To be honest, I don’t see any difference at all, except maybe around my waist. Two humongous monstrosities also known as my legs seem to have stayed pretty much the same. Oh well, I am 9 lbs lighter, and my clothes do fit better, so who cares about some stupid photos :)

Thank you!

I am not a big fan of gyms either. This is why I started to figure skate at not so tender age of 22. This not only have improved my fitness level dramatically but also has been the most fun I've ever had. If you don't like gyms, I'd definitely recommend taking up some activity that you think you might actually enjoy.

As MinMin97 said, there are many things that can attribute to cellulite, so you never know for sure until you try. My friend, however, got rid of hers by cleaning up her diet. And I am talking about some serious clean up, not a bit of improvement here and there.

30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels is my absolute favorite!

During my very first weightloss experience (which was completely unnecessary as I now realize), I've gone from 130lbs to 115lbs (my height is 5'8'') in a little over 2 months without any exercise. I did not starve myself, just ate 100% clean and stayed away from sugar completely, so it's definitely possible. You might end…

I can totally relate! My thighs are not a problem but my calves are simply humongous. I've spent a lot of time on the internet trying to find an answer and got nowhere. Some people say that there is absolutely nothing you can do about it, others give contradictory advice. i remember reading one girl's comment who said that…

I have been doing IF for many years without knowing it and have recently returned to it. My eating window is from 10am to 6pm. I don't count calores, just eat 100% clean and try to watch my portions. I have lost 9lbs in a little over a month (with a very limited amount of exercise).
