  • I am not weighing myself until April 1st, but here is my progress shot * *The first photo was taken last may, when I was at the same weight as in the beginning of February ** If you'd like to know what I am doing for my weightloss, checkout my personal blog (votavitamea.com)
  • This is interesting because I've also found the last day of L1 to be more challenging than a few previous days. In my case, I think it might have had to do with working out too late at night after a long day at the beach.
  • Just completed day 8 of the level 1. Definitely seeing a great improvement in my endurance and muscle strength. With the exception of push-ups, anterior raises and squat & press, the whole thing is a piece of cake for me right now.
  • I hate push-ups! Even the modified ones are totally killing me - especially the second set. Haven't even bothered to try the real one.
  • Day 7 has been the first time ever that I did not cheat during side lunges with anterior raises. I've even managed to keep up the pace with the girls in the video. This says a lot because I’ve done the first level of 30 Day Shred many times before, sometimes for more than 10 days in a row, and have never been able to…
  • Day 7 of the 30DS was by far my best: With the exception of slacking a bit on the push-ups, today I've been able to follow all the exercises without stopping or decreasing the number of repetitions for the first time!
  • They are 14'' when I am underweight, in my current weight they are 16". Since I am not planning on returning into the underweight category, I guess, I might have to settle on 15'' :)
  • Eating clean does help to lose weight! I'll provide you with my own example. In 2006, I weighted 130lbs (my height is 5'8''). I was very slender on top but had pretty thick legs. Sometime in the Spring my friend mentioned a diet that included eating only fresh fruit (except for bananas), fresh vegetables (except for…
  • My calves are huuuuge! Even when I am 8lbs underweight, they are 14'' around. Good for you for embracing yours! I'm still struggling to completely accept mine.
  • I've been doing Paleo for the past month and really love it. If you used to consume pasta/oats/bread on a regular basis before, my main advice would be to go really heavy on those vegetables and get some healthy fats in you diet or you might end up seriously constipated :)

  • Feel free to add me. I also in my 20s and have another 22 lbs to lose.
  • I am 5'7'' - 5'8'' and am aiming for 125lbs, which would put me in the lowest healthy BMI category. I have to go this low because I have very thick legs that don't begin to look decent until I really skinny up. Most people of the same height don't need to go lower than 130lbs to look great. Of course, let's not forget that…
  • You're definitely not going to gain with this amount of calories! A 5'2'' person who weights 158lbs and exercises 3 times a week needs around 1900 to maintain. 1700 puts you in the deficit. Give it a try for a couple of weeks and then adjust accordingly.
  • Have been doing 30DS since March 1st. My starting weight is 146.6. Will be more than happy if I can shred 6+ pounds by the end of month.
  • Don't see anything wrong with it either.
  • Definitely see some changes. Well done!
  • Done with day 6th as well. Felt a bit dizzy this morning but still have done a pretty good job.
  • Way to go! Still night time here :) Will be doing day 6 first thing in the morning.
  • If you own an iphone, there are apps like Fitness Builder (just off the top of my head, don't know if it's the best) that can help you create a customized workout.
  • Assuming that you're not doing it already, buy less prepackaged foods. A lot of this stuff is extremely high in sodium.
  • What about the claves? Mine a pretty big genetically. Will they get even more massive? I keep getting conflicting info.
  • At least you're sticking to C25K program. I've started it at least 5 times and have never gone past week 4. I think, I'll give it another try and if it fails will finally give up on the idea of ever turning myself into a runner.
  • You look fantastic. Congratulations!
  • Once a month. I am trying to work on ridding myself of a dieter's mentality. While I still want to shed some pounds, instead of obsessing about my weight, I want to be focused on more important things, such as turning 100% clean eating from a short-term fix to a lifestyle change.
  • This is very important! You never know what's really in those purchased meals, even if they sound super healthy.
  • Completed Day 5 of L1 this morning. Performance-wise, this was the best day out of all five of them: My muscles are no longer sore, so I was able to increase my range of motion a bit on lunges and squats and didn’t have to stop every 5 seconds during cardio exercises as I did yesterday. When Jillian says, “If you’re on day…
  • I am not counting calories as this makes me think about food all the time and always ends up in a binge, but I do watch the size of my portions, eat only when I am feel hungry, and follow a 100% clean diet (no cheat days, no pseudo-healthy stacks, and absolutely no sweets). I am also not consuming any grains, dairy, or…
  • I have vouched not to weight myself for a month, so I'll be doing it right after I've completed 30DS
  • I considered beginning with 3lbs and moving up as I go, but then decided to be super tough I went for the 5lbs ones, which are totally killing me.
  • It will definitely get better! I've started 30DS a couple of times and have always found that as far as endurance is concerned it gets easier after day 5-6. Weight exercises, on the other hand, never stop to kill me :/
