I have what I call junk food nights with my boys once maybe twice a month. Ice cream, buttered popcorn, blueberry danish, powered sugar donut holes is what I had the other night. I just keep my portions smaller, and save my calories for the night. I enjoy every bite. I also have a fast day afterwards just in case.

Here is a good question. You can run it, but can you start AND finish running 26.2 miles? Try it on your own first and see how you do.......lol.

One thing that I found was helpful was shopping the outside rim of the store first, then get my frozen veggies. I found that if I know I have frozen food, I do not spend as much time in the middle isles. I live in a small town. So the fast day is not as easy as it sounds. Lol. 3 hours to power through until bed. I only went 105 over the 500 so for my 1st day doing this I am super proud of myself. I have a better idea on how to plan for the next time. ☺ Thanks again to everyone for your help and ideas!

Wonderful advice everyone, thank you. Today is my first fast day, and I did join the group for 5:2. It looks like I will be keeping myself massivly busy to keep my mind off of food. Lol. Tea sounds like a wonderful alternative to help keep my mind off of it. Day 1 is always the hardest. I do like how flexable this is. ☺

Also, what if you accidently go over on a fast day? Would you just switch it to the next day or add in exercise to make up the difference?

Thank you everyone for your replies. I am going to give this a try and see how it goes. Fingers crossed that I have the same amazing results as everyone else! And it is good to know that the days don't have to be seaperated. One final question, what about exercise? Do you skip it or keep it as a short or light workout?

Fast days have to be nonconsecutive though. So, say, on tuesday and thursday.

Just to be clear, it is fasting two days a week, then the other five eating like normal. 500 calories on fast days for women, and 600 for men. I have issues with saying no to late night snacking and am hoping that this will help.

It is not just you. I have been doing t25, started in the winter, and have noticed a few pounds difference (7 pounds only) However, since I added running now that it is nice out again, I have noticed inches lost. So maybe try more cardio, and have your strength training only 2-3 days a week?

I put in a workout dvd with my 2.5 year old. Now he does it with me, which is sooo funny. Lol. I have it. I do have trouble sticking with it because you repeat the same dvds for 5 weeks. Then another set of dvds for 5 more weeks. Get a heart rate monitor to be accurate in calories burned, weigh food, eat more fruits & veggies.....any other suggestions, otherwise I will give this a try over the next few weeks and hopefully I will start to see a difference. Thank you everyone for your help!!! =)
