  • My first thought was this is an April Fool's post from Monday. Seriously, a Subway diet? I agree with the other poster that questioned why not making your own sandwich. Better quality food and a cost-saving.
  • I don't. I would pick a different fast food place--if it had to be fast food. subway meats are highly processed and salty. The veggies look gross--wilted and mushy. I used to get a kids size tuna sandwich, but that was before I educated myself about nutrition. Honestly, find a different fast food joint. Do you have a…
  • If you're hungry, then eat! I looked back over a few days of your food intake, and I don't see many vegetables recorded. You might want to up your vegetable intake. I'm also 5' tall and 49 years old. I net (after exercise) around 1700 calories a day. I was using Dailyplate to log my food, but I'm throwing caution to the…
  • Age: 49 SW: 115 CW: 110 GW: 103-105 Calorie Net: 1600-1700 (after exercise) Exercise: 20-30 minutes of cardio at least 5 days per week. I also lift weights a few days a week, and I lift heavy for me. I would like to start yoga one day a week. I enjoy many foods and don't restrict much. I don't eat much red meat. If I do,…
  • I think maybe difference is added fillers. I prefer Dymatize Iso 100. It's around 85% protein, fine powder, so it mixes well, and it taste good.
  • My first thought was "pull yourself up by your bootstraps and get back on the horse!" I know this is easier said than done. I'm in a slump myself right now. I'm a little burned out on the gym and trying to eat right and log my calories. I've been overeating my calories for a month and not giving it my all at the gym. But,…
  • 49 years 5'0 tall 110 lb. I'm netting around 1700 after exercise. I think 1700 calories is my maintenance for me. I try not to weigh myself often, but I'm pretty sure I'm around 110 lbs. It's gotten harder to burn calories as I've gotten older. I like to eat--not restrict food.
  • This is so true! I'm good for about two weeks out of the month.
  • There is a sleep disorder called Night Eating Syndrome (NES). You can find information on MD Junction. I have fought the disorder for over 9 years. I have finally given in to the fact that most nights I am going to wake up and eat something. I eat plenty during the day, so it has nothing to do with the amount of food I'm…
  • Got the Polar FT4 last week. I luv it! I'm not very technical, and I found it very easy to set up. It tracks my heartrate and calories--all I need.
  • I use dailyplate to log my food. I find it's easier to find what I eat. And, when I start typing a food I use frequently in dailyplate, it auto fills it in for me.
  • it's a shame that you haven't learned throughout your days how to take criticism - that's a pretty important part of life... the worst part is that they are all being very nice and supportive. don't ask for help if you don't want honest answers with that said, "abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym" - you can go to the…
  • Due to low blood sugar issues, I have to have a little something before I work out. I have this meal anywhere from 15-30 minutes before heading to the gym. 1/4 scoop Dymatize iso 100 vanilla 1/2 cup no sugar added apple sauce 1/2 cup almond coconut milk Microwaved for 45 seconds. I eat within 1 1/2 hours after working out.…
  • Dymatize iso 100 and True Athlete.
  • I disagree with this ^^^ If your blood sugar drops easily--as does mine. You need to have a little something on your stomach. If I don't I get nauseous, have a headache, and lack of energy. One size doesn't fit all.
  • Around 10 years ago I lost mine for 3 years. I have no idea how much I was eating--I wasn't tracking my calories. I was a vegetarian at the time and running 6 days a week. I loved not having to deal with it. But, in the long run, I think it messed with my hormones not having a period. My body fat was 13% After my doctors…
  • Vitamix. Worth every penny! 8 year warranty 2 containers--large and small Great customer service Free FedEx on repairs if needed
  • Get up, suit up, show up at the gym!
  • OP--I agree with you. Upon waking I have a cup of warm eater with 1-2 tlbs raw apple cider vinegar and stevia. About 30 minutes prior to my work out I have 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce, 1 scoop protein powder, and 1/2 cup almond coconut milk all mixed up together and warmed in the microwave and a cup of coffee. This…
  • Aldi's Moser Roth 85 % Ghiradelli's 100 % Eat it and enjoy---in moderation, of course.
  • Simple meals. Colorful salad protein source--egg or egg whites, chicken, tuna, salmon Luv me some carbs. Rice cake, low carb tortilla, or baked tortilla chips Homemade soup black beans rice quionoa chickpeas frozen veggies -- so easy.
  • Not to offend any MFP peeps, but I use another website for logging my food. It seems to be more accurate. Plus, it auto populates what I start typing, because I log certain foods frequently. More user-friendly imo.
  • Ground turkey bison
  • I would say increase to 100 more cals per day. Just monitor for one month. If it's not working, then you'll have to try something else. Do you think you could add in some walking each day? Doesn't have to be much, but that might kickstart dropping the last few pounds. I've increased my cals lately and have finally dropped…
  • imo- yes increase calories slowly and monitor your weight each week for one month.

  • <<<<<Is this bulky? Maybe to some. I'm a lucky one that builds muscle easily. A good meal plan and consistency helps. Plus, I'm almost 50, 5' 0" tall and around 109. I've been lifting since around 25. I vary my weights. Also, my quads and glutes are not near as defined due to a knee problem. For example: 40# barbell curls…
  • I've often said a PB sandwich could be my last meal, and I'd be happy. A lot of people are fans of PB2. I've tried it and ended up mixing more powder with water to make it thick, so I was still eating the same amount of calories. I prefer just plain PB--no salt, added oils, and sugars. Naturally More makes a good…
