OK, well I don't mean to pile on, or anything, but I'm going to give it to you straight. Contrary to what you said, you aren't quite following the program as written. Per Mehdi's instructions, you either need to know your maxes, then calculate where to start, or start with the empty bar for squat, bench, and OHP, 65 lb for…

Not sure if that deserves an awesome or a woo. eta: Referring to this:

Did you have accurate maxes to calculate what to start with?

Those pictures really don't show much of anything. But, you don't look abnormal. You just look like a guy that got overweight and doesn't work out. You seem to have a number of misconceptions regarding muscle and fat and how to lose/gain them. You need to focus on muscle NOW, so you don't lose (much of) what you currently…

I'd maybe be willing to bet that's already in chit-chat.

Will you two get a room, bang, and get it over with?

This one is legitimate, though.

The only thing I can think of that makes any sense to the "people who cut calories and lose weight think they'll be able to eat normally again afterwards, when it actual fact cutting calories means it needs to keep happening" bit is that she meant that one's maintenance Calories will almost certainly be lower (provided one…

If you see it on a "reality" show, it's pretty much guaranteed to not be real.
-
Glad you mentioned that, because I was like, "who the F wooed that?" :D

Did you stop reading at the part you bolded? Because there's a very important part you seem to be missing that comes immediately after: So, the "punishment" may very well last less than one class period. That's pretty much all it took for me (and most of the kids I knew from school) back when I was a kid.

You could always have the hubby give you a buzz cut with some shears. :o

But, figure skating is, right?
-
Funnily enough, I do this before my PL meets. It's just an ounce or two, at best, but I figure it'll help somewhat to make weight. But it doesn't do anything to help me look good in my singlet.

Are mental gymnastics a sport?
-
This absolutely won't happen with such a low Caloric intake. Take in the number of Calories you're supposed to be eating and incorporate some resistance/strength training, if you're not already.

I love it when people try to sound all knowledgeable and state things like "you can't fight the science," all while arguing things that "the science" doesn't actually say.

One teaspoon every day, whenever you want. You'll likely gain a little water weight over the course of a month. But you probably won't see any big changes just because of creatine.

So, you're going to ignore what that link that you referred to as perfect actually said. Because if you don't take your exercise into account, you're not actually getting the minimum. OK, then.
-
For now, yes. In 4 weeks or so, look at how much weight you've lost (500 Cal deficit is approximately 1 lb per week, not 1.5 lb, BTW). If you've lost ~4 lb, if you're actually at a 500 Cal/day deficit, then carry on. If not, adjust as needed.

Complete and utter horse manure. And that's putting it nicely.

Dammit, you beat me to it.

Starting Strength, by Mark Rippetoe. Links to purchase books (the one on the left, first) are at the bottom of the page: https://startingstrength.com/ eta: I don't really recall much about Calorie intake, but don't worry about that, really. Input your stats/goals into MFP and use those, or use a TDEE calculator, such as…

Many (most?) people tend to not like having their weight talked about. As such, many people don't talk about others' weights. Sure, many do, but it's kind of a weird situation. I've noticed on people, but I tend to not say much, other than something along the lines of "you look different." I'd hate to be wrong, and have…

Officer pulls over a guy driving oddly. Officer: License, registration, and insurance ple... Wait, what's that smell? Sir, what's in that bag - is that marijuana? Oh, and is that wine you're drinking? Driver: No, man, it's just my parsley. Trying to drop a few pounds, bro. Goes well with Cheetos. Oh, and it's my ACV - so I…

Not gonna lie, I read that as you were a 5'0 male talking about... well, you get the idea. Was about to be impressed. Checked the profile, and it says female.

About 3-4 (I can't remember exactly) years ago, I was out of heavy lifting action for about 6 weeks. Kinda sucked, but I dealt with it. I ended up going in a couple times a week (after the first few weeks) and doing mostly isolation exercises that didn't aggravate my injury. If you can, and it's OK'd by your doc/physical…
