OMG, those ears! Our old dog (RIP): Our current dog - I'm still trying to figure out how I ended up with a long-haired small (Chihuahua-Bichon Frise mix) dog:

That sounds so awful, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it might actually be pretty awesome. But, since it's ICP, I'm probably wrong, so I won't go looking for it to see for myself.

BRB - youtubing this... ... ... ... Holy snowballs, Batman! I couldn't get through the 1st verse.

I have a Keurig knockoff with a reusable pod. I sometimes get a variety pack, if I want to try different flavors. I got it on sale last year, so it was only around $30, so not that expensive. Seeing as I had to replace my old single-cup maker, and those I had priced out at ~$15 (I think), it was worth it to me to spend a…

"Unique multi-purpose handles," indeed.

TIL: it's apparently insulting to see others look at your evidence and show you that the evidence doesn't really back up your claims.

Yep, what wolfman said. In addition, you'll want/need the strength base to be able to use heavier weights when/if you move on to a hypertrophy-based program, so that you more effectively stimulate muscle growth.

LOL. Yeah, I was 15yo back in 1987. I remember. And maybe it's different where you are (I'm in New England), but they get the forecast wrong many days. I've been caught out in the rain (heavy downpour on one particular occasion) on my motorcycle a few times when there was supposedly a 0% chance of precipitation all day.

Which is kinda scary, considering how wrong they still get things.

Yet, you seem to support Fung. So, yeah - color me confused, too.

Most ironic post I've read this morning.

What, specific, muscles do you feel need more - and why? Additionally, what are you doing for a bodyweight routine? The answer(s) will help us give better feedback. Because 10 minutes for a full routine may not be enough, although it could probably be done - especially with bodyweight. Yet, 10 additional minutes for extra,…

At PF, I'd probably recommend using Lyle McDonald's machine program, or maybe a DB based program listed here, such as the M&S one.

Both #1 and #2 appear to be the same thing. Also, the Poliquin (German body comp) link seems to be down. I haven't gone through all of them.

 That sounds like a very common upper/lower split.

LMFAO

@bootyrubsandtacos Do yourself a favor and ignore the post I quoted in its entirety. It's utter nonsense.

Kinda like going to livestrong. 'Here's an article we wrote about some new fad greatness! Hey - here's some links to some sciencey-looking websites, including a study done on this fad! Oh, don't read them - because they say the exact opposite of what we're saying; and/or simply don't support our claims.'

I drink green tea every morning - in fact, I'm doing so as I type this up. I've gained ~12 lb over the last few months - some (most?) is water weight, but still...

@giusa I'm not psuLemon, but there are some bodyweight programs, as well as a machine-based program and some dumbbell-based programs on page 1. Either Lyle McDonald's program or the Muscle and Strength dumbbell routine would probably be good for you and your goal. I'd probably go with the M&S one.

All of these things can have quite a high Calorie count - the veggies, depending on which exact veggies, especially if you eat LOTS of them - and really ought to be weighed. I can easily see estimation being incorrect and you adding on a few hundred more Calories than you think.

Generally fine to go over on proteins and fats. Not necessarily a problem to go over on carbs. Just don't go over on all three. ;)

My female cat might register 14 steps, but that would really just be 14 times she smacked the dog on the head.

Will your mom adopt me?

LOL. Thanks for posting the link. I had meant to in my last post, but I guess I forgot.

Virtually anything from the beginner section here that looks interesting that you are able to do. If you don't want to go to a gym, then one of the bodyweight programs would be good. edit: See sardelsa's post below for link, as I forgot. Oops./edit I'm not necessarily suggesting to follow her way of doing things…

I think that qualifies as a kitteh gif/pic!
